Homefront PS3 Patch Is Nigh

Homefront isn't a bad game at all, but it does have some multiplayer issues that require attention.

Kaos Studios has been working on a patch and it appears that patch is almost ready to go, at least insofar as the PlayStation 3 version is concerned. If you check the game's official site , there has been a progress update and that necessary patch could be just around the corner. It just needs to be approved by Sony; once it is, the fans will get their fixes. Many Homefront PS3 players have complained of online multiplayer crashes and disconnections, along with a host of other problems that hinder an otherwise entertaining experience. While you wait, maybe you should just play through the campaign again…it won't take long, and it doesn't suffer from such annoying issues. Besides, it's one of the more emotionally-charged campaigns you'll ever play.

And by the way, THQ has been dropping hints concerning a sequel, so stay tuned for any news on that score.

I'm glad to hear they are patching it, I hate devs that release games with glitches and never even try to fix them.

I am planning on getting homefront at some point and it's nice to know that when I do it'll work right.

for a lot of us its too little too late. a hell of a lot of us swapped it for Crysis, and haven't looked back since.

I know a lot of devs go on holiday after a long project.. but seriously, if theres a fundamental problem with your product you MUST fix it ASAP.

this fix wasn't ASAP, it was WTCBB (when they could be bothered) ..lol.

Glad to hear this since I haven't really had a chance to play much of the MP. I loaned it to a friend so he could play the SP and haven't gotten it back yet.

Did you just say : Homefront isn't a bad game at all….since when ? Reading your review from last month which I immediately commented, because I though you were too harsh,(you even respondent to me) SPECIALLY when it comes down to multiplayer.
Look at you now, I guess Homefront selling more then 1 million copies in two weeks and sending almost 3 million to the retail stores make this game "suddenly better".
Single player sucks, but online experience is great since day one…but that's what I wrote 3 weeks ago, right ?

I thought the 7.5 score was bang on, it wasn't an amazing game but it wasn't terrible.

As Dillon said above Too Little Too Late. Traded it after clocking the SP campaign, after fearing for my PS3's life already on it's slim after my phat YLOD on me. I got £35 trade invalue it kept freezing my PS3.

Games that come out of the box that don't work need fixing asap not weeks/months later.

I'm honestly more excited about the New Vegas patch. Now that's news. I love my Fallouts, but I just couldn't keep plugging along having to reset my PS3 every 45 minutes. It's a little unnerving. So what if it's 6 months later, I want the patch and I want to go back and blast mutants.

I'm also excited about the Fallout: NV patch as I have yet to play that either. I loaned it to my same friend that has Homefront.

eh.
too little too late.
developers need to learn how to debug there games BEFORE they release them!
especially bethesda, i really want to play fallout new vegas but refuse to put up with all the bugs.
was really funny i remember getting upto the bit where you have to enter the strip, i did the mission to get a invitation for it but when i went to collect it instead of the guy giving it to me he blew my head off!
so i killed him, then his brother was sitting on his chair like a stunned mullet, i spoke to him, bought a few things off him then exited.
then re entered the room and now the guy i bought a few things off was shooting me.
talk about a delayed reaction!
so i killed him, left the room and fell through the floor into a infinite black.
took the game back, and have not touched it since!
when developers learn how to debug there games then ill buy them!
always said internet access was the worst thing added to todays consoles!
back in the day you had to make sure you properly polished your game because there were no patches.
these days its aaaaaaawwwwwwww f*ck it!
if enough people complain will patch it.
