With the PS3 launch a mere three weeks away, the details are starting to flood the Internet and magazines. Sony UK has now confirmed the price range for downloadable Network titles, and it's slightly different than the rest of Europe. But don't worry; the prices are to be expected, for the most part.
Games will retail on the Store for between £1.99 (2.99 Euros)and £6.99 (9.99 Euros). At this point, Sony has already nailed down prices for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ((£6.99) and Blast Factor (£3.49), both of which will be sitting pretty on the virtual Store shelves for the system's launch on March 23. PAL gamers will also have the Gran Turismo HD Concept demo on that day, with flOw hitting on April 6, Go! Sudoku on April 13, and Go! Puzzle on April 20.
The bad news is that UK PS3 owners are gonna be paying a little more than their European neighbors. On the average, it appears the games will cost about 25p more for the most expensive Store titles, but only about 3p more for the cheapest titles. So maybe you can hope for more games priced at the lower end of the spectrum. But either way, you've got more cost info, so you can create a more realistic number…the number that's going to put a big ol' hurt on your wallet in March.
