Ben-DutkaA couple average action games and one terrible movie won't constitute the entirety of the BloodRayne legacy.
Majesco Entertainment has announced BloodRayne: Betrayal , which will be available on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. You can spot a debut trailer through the link (but it doesn't show us much of anything), and we expect the bloody title to arrive some time this summer.
Details are few and far between; all we know is that the developer is Wayforward…and we've never heard of them. It'll be interesting to see how this downloadable adventure turns out, as the designers may be adopting a new look and style to go along with the digital format. Then again, considering the sheer size and scope of some downloadable titles today, it may just be a full-on attempt at a hack 'n slash action extravaganza. I remember playing the first BloodRayne ; it was seriously flawed but the constant sprays of blood were kinda funny. It's just one of those guilty-pleasure games like Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball .
We'll let you know when they decide to release more details on BloodRayne: Betrayal .

Good old Bloodrayne. I played through the first one. It has it's flaws for sure but it did attempt to innovate. If they can get some skilled designers on the game i think it could turn out pretty awesome.

Sweet! My wife has been crying about a new Bloodrayne for a couple years now. We started our relationship playing (me) God of War and (her) BloodRayne 2. Bloody good beginning to our relationship *pun intended* lmao! I wonder where they'll go gameplay and graphics wise with this one.
Two terrible movies Ben. The second being a western with Rayne against Billy the Kid and his gang of evil cowboy vampires. Directed by.. wait for it… Uwe Boll.

It blows my mind how many terrible games Majesco has made considering they made one of my favorite games. Too bad the new bloodrayne is a downloadable game, wish they had gone full production.
As a downloadable it's probly going to be either side scrolling or top down hack n slash number. weak.
