Don't count this one out. Telltale Games might have quite the surprise in store…
Jurassic Park: The Game , developed through an agreement with Universal Partnerships & Licensing, is scheduled to release in April with a price tag of $34.99 (those who pre-order the PC or Mac versions can save $5). This will be an episodic adventure delivered in five parts and the story acts like a sequel to the original film. What happened after Dennis Nedry stole a Barbasol can full of dinosaur embryos? Well, here's part of the answer-
"That same night, a desperate smuggler infiltrates Isla Nublar, hunting the canister and its precious cargo. She collides – literally – with park staff trying to evacuate. They are trapped together as the park collapses, left behind with the newly-freed dinosaurs. When InGen launches a perilous rescue operation, mercenaries, saboteurs, and survivors are thrown together in the struggle to escape the island. They confront T. Rex, Velociraptors and other dinosaurs in spectacular showdowns. As human agendas clash, secrets of the park are exposed, and a new threat emerges: an eerie, nocturnal predator stalking the group, hunting them relentlessly across the island."
You can find a new cinematic trailer and more information at the game's official site . Or, you know, you can just watch the vid here:

telltale has done something special with back to the future, i hope they can do the same with this one as well.
This looks great from the trailer! Really excited about this as a fan of jurrasic park!
I also need to purchase back to the future as well! That looks like a good game as well!
love jurrasic park! dunno about the game tho :S
I still haven't played the BttF demo, but I did download it. If I like it, I'll buy it.
As for Jurassic Park, I'll buy it regardless. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. I was 7 years old when it came out, and I've been hooked ever since.
that's great news about the gear ratios. gt5 was a d1p for me, but i was somewhat dissapointted in it. it was the first gt game that i've owned that i wasn't blown away with in terms of graphics.
i'm not bashing the game, but i thought the presentation was somewhat uneven.
I love the gear ratios on the T-rex 😉
i remember the genesis game, when you could play as a raptor 🙂

I love the first Jurassic Park movie and this has piqued my interest, but I'd prefer a really well done full title. The trailer was good, but still it's just not the same as a full game.
Telltale games knows how tocreate fantastic games. They are on a roll right now. I don't know your definition of a "full" title but this one looks pretty good. Maybe the only thing stopping it from having the $60 price tag is that it's downloadable. Idk but I wouldn't count it out!

Not necessarily counting it out, but want to know the length of gameplay. I don't pay $60 for games with only 10 hours of gameplay, so I won't be paying $35 if this one is only a few hours either.
True. I don't blame you. I hope it's not a 5 hour game. I'm ok with it being 8-10 hours and paying $35 sometimes even $60 if the game is great. But I'm not concerned with the price as much as I am wanting it to be longer than 5 hours so we actually get an epic, lengthy game. I'm only using 5 hours as an example as well cus I have no idea how long it will be. But I would be disappointed if the game is awesome but only offers a few hours of play.
Hey this looks pretty good for a budget title. Color me interested.
"What are you a secret agent? Dodgeson! We've got Dodgeson here! See? Nobody cares."
Could this foreshadow a new movie? Maybe something rated R?
I would love that, because Jurassic Park was awesome, 2 was bad, and don't even get me started on 3.
I remember Warpath. Warpath was an enjoyable game.
Warpath was great!
I can't wait for this! I'm a big JP and dinosaur fan!!!
35 USD for a PSN game?
thats like 70 AUD in sonys currency converter!
why so high?
i dunno, dinosaur games dont exactly have a good track record……… cough turok.
pass!
I still have a fondness for the first JP movie despite its horrible inaccuracies and the liberties taken by the filmmakers regarding a lot of the dinosaurs. With a lot of the more recent discoveries — particularly surrounding the "raptor" type dinosaurs like velociraptor, deinonychus, and utahraptor — I have a hard time going back and watching this pictures.
The game's trailer is kind of the same. The velociraptors are still too big and need feathers, etc., etc. It's also a little too brightly lit for me and the animations are too… videogamey? Unnatural movements by both humans and dinosaurs alike.
All that being said, I'm still willing to give it a shot. I loved Michael Crichton's two novels, and, like I said, I'm still fond of the first movie at least. The second one made me laugh, and the third one just made me want to punch someone in the face.
