They're the flashiest, most brutal catfights ever.
Some seriously pissed off female fighters – 23 of them, in fact – will throw down in the new fighting game, Arcana Heart 3 . The popular series returns to the PlayStation Network this spring and this time, it'll feature a robust online multiplayer mode. The PS2 version launched in this region back in 2008 but since then, nobody in North America has seen anything of the series; leave it up to BlazBlue publisher Aksys Games to sate your desire for a little girl-on-girl action. Three new combatants will enter the fray, too: protagonist Weiss, Eko (an artistic chick who can bring her drawings to life), and the impossible-to-pronounce Scharlachrot.
Yes, well, that certainly looks interesting. You sort of have to be into the hardcore Japanese style, though.
Related Game(s): Arcana Heart 3
I've had this game for almost a month now. It is a mad game with the usual Japanese teenage cuteness abound. Good to see it reaching a wider audience.
I have the Japanese version, so i may sell it when this one comes out.
Anyone planning on grabbing it this i highly suggest using Dorothy Albright first or KiraKira if you want some true WTF fights.

Good to see this kind of move.
Now where's Malicious?
That game gotta go international!!!!
Here's hoping the lads that are working on The King of Fighters XIII are considering a console port.
The same goes for SEGA with their VF5:FS. If these guys want a bigger audience they really should get their game out there to all markets.
It is encouraging to see a game like Arcana Hearts 3 getting this treatment.
Yeah, I think PSN is a real Plus for Sony because you can quickly localize a game and publish it to the western markets without even having to do a print run of BluRay discs or boxes. Cheaper for the publisher, but it also means more games available for us that might otherwise not be made available.
Agreed. This is the approach i hope SEGA will one day take on their VF franchise if a disc version isn't on the cards. Even if it's just sprinkling extras as DLC for VF5, keeping the console version updated with versions B,C etc on the arcade upgrades of VF.
I would also like to see more NeoGeo love for the PSN. Bring us some more Samurai Showdown, Last Blade, Guilty Gear & King of Fighters. Then we're rolling.
I don't think so. I'm not crazy about this game being only available as a download. I like my disks. Then there's an issue of the 360 version not being available for the states in either format, but it will be in Eurpoe and Japan. I prefer fighting on the PS3, but I don't understand the approach of making it download only when agarest and battle fantasia failed in that area and not bringing over the 360 version when it clearly exists.
How did Agarest fail? What were the sales numbers on PSN?
Excellent! This was crazy on PS2, now it's coming to PSN/PS3. Superb!
I'm glad to hear this. I greatly enjoyed Arcana Heart. Although I am disappointed that Arcana Heart 2 is apparently not coming westward. Still, I wholeheartedly welcome the return of this series to the west and will definitely be picking up Arcana Heart 3 at some point.

Anything Japanese is welcome. We need an all anime female fighter in 3D though.

That's how I play Soul Calibur…. 😉
Who needs the dudes, there's plenty of female fighters to choose from.
Me too, most of my created characters are female. I was so bummed that we couldn't use the faces and stuff of the special characters though.
And why didn't the US get the loose socks?
Great questions worlds. KOS-MOS also wants to know what happened to the Type-X armor that was in Soul Calibur 3??
I still think that SC4 suffered from the investment of time and energy in the online part. They should have spent more time on the character creator and story modes.
Too true, maybe the DVD version meant things got axed. I can't even play it online anyway cuz of the cheap folks.
In what red light district of Japan is THIS popular??
I'm guessing you're just being provocative??
Either that or you've never seen an episode of Ikkitousen?
lol @ Ikki Tousen, I'm looking for a complete edition of Queens Blade that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
On a less boobalicious note, Suzuka is a fantastic anime.
There's nothing wrong with Arcana Heart in terms of content. It's just an all-girl fighter.
EDIT: I don't get what's appealing about this game either (I don't like games that have all-girl or all-guy rosters, give me something balanced please), they say the fighting system is interesting and fun (homing, huh?), though I don't see how looking at gameplay vids (I'd need to sample the game a bit first), but I don't wanna make any unnecessary expenditures only to regret it later on.
