Kevin Butler Says: Nope, You’re Not Done With LBP2

LittleBigPlanet 2 is another masterful creation from Media Molecule and you could quite literally play it forever.

In the latest "Dear PlayStation" commercial, Kevin Butler laughs at the idea that someone has "finished" LBP2. Of course you can complete the single-player mode, but the gigantic toolbox could keep you inventing for many months more, and let's not forget about the community. Thing is, there will always be new user-generated content to sample. Here's Butler's hilarious take on Sackboy's new adventure:

Love the end. That's pretty much what it felt like when I tried to wrap my head around everything LBP2 has to offer. The development tools alone will make your head pop off your shoulders; once you consider how much awesome content players could create over the next few years…it's almost painful. But it's painfully awesome , too.

Even looking at some of the things in that video alone makes me wonder how some people can pretend they've added nothing to the first one….

Hard to believe it's bigger than the first one, mind blowing what a small company has managed to achieve.

Haha! The ending is exactly what it is all about. Ben noticed it too.

When you play LBP2 you realize you that everyday you can play something new. You will never be done 😀

Awesome, I will get this by the weekend.

I look at it this way. When I consider the incredible things that dedicated peeps have managed to do with LBP already, and then I consider just how very much more the tools and assets in LBP2 offer…it really is a mind blowing thing. There really are no limits to where this thing can go.

One of the things that I am still in complete awe of is the mechanical calculators that were constructed in LBP. It's such a pointless exercise – building a virtual mechanical calculator on a device that has more computing power than existed in the entire world less than 50 years ago. Yet at the same time it's a work of sheer genius. I keep wondering with the increased capability of LBP2, will someone build a difference engine with it? LBP is like the Meccano or Lego Technic of the video game world. With it, you can build virtually anything, you are only limited by your imagination.

Sheer awesomeness.

Not to mention Kevin Butler, VP of Infinite Infinity. What more need be said.

Boom!

I saw this already while watching TV. I loved it, His commercials are awesome. I can't wait for Butler's commercial for KZ3.

I have not got LBP2 yet, I do not know when I will but It I will be soon. LBP2 is going to be one of the best games this year, and people will not forget that because they will be playing it for a very long time.

Sony, this year is going to be awesome
Thank you.
