Well, it's that time of year, when it's always better to give than to receive.
Some of you will remember the Hadouken interview we conducted back in October, when we said we'd be giving away a free copy of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit at some point. Well, that free copy has been sitting here for a while; just haven't had the chance to get to it. Sorry 'bout that.
So anyway, for the last week before Christmas, here's what we're going to do- at some point this week, I'm going to post up a Tweet, telling you to e-mail me with a request for the game, and why you want it . It doesn't have to be a novel, but typing "I just want it 'cuz I love racing games!" doesn't quite cut it. The first message in my inbox that fits this simple requirement will be deemed the winning e-mail, and I'll just send you the game. It's new and sealed, by the way. Also, it would probably help if you have signed up to follow us on Twitter, and if you've signed up to receive the newsletter… Okay, those aren't necessary for the contest but they're still good ideas. 😉
So anyway, make sure to keep checking our Twitter page for the green light. Could be Monday…could be Friday…or somewhere in between…who knows? By the way, you do have to be in the US. Just far too much of a pain to ship outside the country.

What if we have sworn never to use twitter?
Yep, to me twitter is just a stripped down facebook.
I was the same way you guys were, but I signed up to follow all the Syracuse Orange players and coaches. And, of course, PSXE 😉
Is this just for members in the States?
yeah even i want to know that?
Thats what I was gonna ask
yes, says that at the end?
I wonder if you even read the article…I had the same question when I read the title and I imagined asking that question in the comments section. Before doing that I finished reading the article and in the third paragraph I read, "By the way, you do have to be in the US.". **SIGH** I would have had a short and sweet reason for why I wanted the game that I was sure would convince Ben.
I just bought a brand new HD TV for myself and have blown all my money on presents for mine and my girlfriends family, and having the new NFS would make my holiday. NFS is my favorite racer because even though it is an arcade racer I still feel like it is real. This is as compared to a burnout game where you know what your doing is just make believe.
EDIT: Just read Bens comment,"Updated the article; you do have to be in the US."…Sorry for being a douche bag. Didn't know he didn't originally include the US only sentence.

I've already got a good reason ready!
Good luck PSXE members.
I would love a free game but I think I'll pass, I'm not much of a writer and plus racers aren't my type of games.
would u send this game outside usa?
and where should I email u?
Pass. This game looked pretty cool, until the demo and game was released. I'm really wanting a street racer from NFS, like Underground.
Good luck everyone.
Meh, twitter isn't for me. When they make something more masculine sounding maybe. For now I'll stick to Facebook.
Updated the article; you do have to be in the US.
Jusyt so we are clear this wont start until
Monday at the earliest correct?
nuuuuuuuu…..
I'll live.
Good luck american PSXers…You won't be competing against me on this one.
1: I already own it, it's fun I recommend it for an arcade racer to anyone.
2: I'm Canadian (Foiled again..)
3: I don't Twitter…and don't intend to start….
1) I was thinking about trying it out, too!
2) Canadians are NEVER foiled! (see: Vancouver Olympics)
3) I don't even know how twitter works. lol ^.^
1. Radarada rada radaradarada
2. Canadians are NEVER foiled at curling
3. RRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Good guys those who enter, over the pond in the UK so can't enter but wish you all the best of luck those that do enter. I have this game as well and trust me it's fun to play when you want to get away from the seriousness of GT5 which is a good game for different reasons. 🙂

Ben
âJust far too much of a pain to ship outside the countryâ
Gotta admire your honesty there, damn fine journalism 😉
I'm from UK but wasnt disappointed to read that coz I lol'd at that sentence
US only 🙁
I do hate it when geography comes between a gamer and a free copy of a good game! 😉
Hey Ben, for the future, do you think you can offer digital download games or PSN redeemable codes as prizes so that we can all participate?
Maybe. We'll see.
That's a great idea, comment of the year for this guy!
Hey Ben, to send you the email, do we have to send through the PSX website? Or may I ask what is the email address that we should be sending to?
The one listed on the site.
bd****@te**.com
NOOOOOO, Im not going to have internet access this week!!!!!!!
Send a text to the e-mail address. just let him know your real e-mail address in the message.

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is one of the games I wanted and missed out on in 2010. I hope Ben Claus will help me out.
Not my kinda game so I I'll let someone else win.
Thanks…
That's actually pretty thoughtful, if you ask me! I hate it when someone wins something I really want, and they're like, "I'll just give it to such and such. I don't really want it. But thanks!" It's even worse when they turn around and sell it!
I'm a nice guy like that 🙂
Oh man that would be cool to win.
I loved the demo, plus I still need the game too.
Non-US non-twitterer here. Guess I'm stuck with GT5. Hooray!
VGA's racer of the year, and well deserving.Good luck to all still needing this game, hope to see you in Seacrest county.Anyone who liked Burnout Paradise City will love this game.
I already have the PC version so there's no need to enter this contest. Couldn't enter anyway since I don't use Twitter. Good luck to all those who go for it. Great game.
You know, you don't have to "use" Twitter. All you have to do is click the Twitter link at the top of this page and read the message.
why do you say… far too much of a pain to ship out of the states!
come on, i've shipped back and forth between canada and the US TONS OF TIMES (it aint that bad!)
Hello Psx Fam! I hope all is well with you guys. I am a new member, as I have finally pressed down the gas pedal to join and become a part of this elite community. I value all of your imput and Ben's authenticity. So without further ado, goodluck to all and happy holidays.
