The core basis may have changed but the sequel is destined to be just as thought-provoking.
If you loved the challenge of echochrome , you're probably psyched for echochrome ii , which has now received a launch date of December 21. This according to the announcement at the PlayStation Blog , which also details the new puzzle creation: it takes advantage of the PlayStation Move; you will use the motion controller as a flashlight of sorts and locate paths and exits. The various objects and blocks in your environment will cast different shadows, and you must "alter the perspective and angles by adjusting the light source." The game features no less than 100 built-in levels along with three different puzzle modes for each: Escort, where you have to navigate a character to the goal, Echo, where you must collect ghost-looking guys called "echo" (you may remember them from the original game), and Paint, where the characters – colored red, green, or blue – will "paint" any block they come in contact with. The goal is reach the target colored percentage.
So when echochrome ii hits the PSN in a few weeks time, you'll definitely want to give it a try. We get the feeling this will be one of those games that really rewards the creative-minded…not to mention the patient.

Extremely interested in this game. Liked the first but didn't get too much time with it. The Move idea with the flashlight is amazing to me.
Sounds unique. In fact, if they were to put up TV ads showing people playing this with their Move, I'd go so far as to say it could be a strong Move seller. In a Brain Age kinda way.
I played the demo and gotta say it's quite interesting. Gotta agree with Snorge, Flashlight idea is cool, much better than funky lab rat 🙂
Theres a demo out!? OMG Im on it! Any word on 3D gameplay. And on that note, what games besides Killzone 3 and Eyepet have 3D and Move support???
Theres a section for Move titles and 3D titles on PSN
I haven't bought move but this may be the reason i do. Just sounds like a really cool and interesting idea.
