Ben-DutkaDead Nation is one hell of a zombie-slaying ride, but it's missing one helpful feature: voice chat.
If you downloaded the oddly addictive title on the PlayStation Network this week, you've probably spent most of your time cleansing the first few infected areas. But if you did happen to jump online for the co-op mode, you inevitably noticed there was no voice chat option. This lacking has caused a bit of a backlash from players, but developer Housemarque is definitely listening. As noted at the PlayStation Blog , the designer confirmed that voice chat support is on the way; they "hope to introduce it as quickly as possible." They're obviously not adverse to feedback, and the message further says they'll be watching the Blog and their Dead Nation Facebook page for more suggestions from the fans. So they want answers to questions like, "what are your favorite weapons so far?" and "what upgrade path have you taken?" Help 'em out; they're a proactive team that aims to please.
Dead Nation is just one of those games you can jump into at any given time; besides, don't you want to help your country? Don't forget that "co-op" aspect of the game.

I haven't even played this really. I've been glued to GT5.
I only use my headset on rare occasions…like when I put it next to my speakers I hear crys of agony.
That'll teach you to be still using dial up! XD

I bought this yesterday specifically for fun with friends.
I would very much appreciate some voice chat.
You know, though… as much as I hate it when people complain PS3 has no cross-game chat, (and it is frickin' annoying to hear…) it WOULD remedy the problem of wanting to chat during games that don't have chat. (Like during Demon Souls, perhaps?)

However I gotta say, that releasing a coop-game and NOT include a way for the cooperative players to communicate… How stupid can you get. Headless doesn't even begin to describe it.

I think so. I'm not really into top shooters but this one is fun. It has night lighting.

That's cool, because I'm getting this next week. I've been watching "The Walking Dead" on AMC and I feel the need to kill some undead. The show is awesome anyone else been watching?
Very awesome show and its great that it sticks close to the comics as well. Also Dead Nation is fun as hell just hope the patch comes quick enough because voice chat is definitely needed!
I will get this next week also and voice chat is great can't beleive they didn't put it in to beging with,every PS3 game should have a voice chat option.

What were you thinking?
Online co-op without voice chat? Were they in some huge rush to put this game out that they couldn't take the time it needed to get chat in there? Did they think it wouldn't be needed?
It's like some developers don't know what year it is.
Voice chat in Dead Nation online co-op will be a great addition. I would think of it as kinda odd to play a game in silence during online co-op.
