John-ShepardEver since exploding onto the scene at E3, Eat Sleep Play has been mostly quiet concerning their current promising project, Twisted Metal .
Even head honcho David Jaffe, who is usually relatively chatty in regards to his blog and Twitter, hasn't offered much in the way of status updates. But recently, he did mention the game at his personal Twitter page , and it does sound encouraging:
"…All I can say is we're racing towards Alpha, if that helps 🙂
As most all of you know, we were aware of this title for a good year and a half before it was officially announced, and we can tell you that at the time of our initial interview where they spilled the beans (end of 2008), we were told about early stages of development. If they're nearing Alpha, that's good news…right? Then we've got beta and then we've got a public beta test, yes? Date, please?
From what we've seen so far, they're definitely headed in the right direction. This might be the very first game I play a lot online, just 'cuz it was always a blast to play with friends in older TM titles. Who's looking forward to this bad-ass 2011 game?

I guess earliest would be summer 2011.
The date out there right now is March 1, 2011. We'll see if that holds up.
Alpha? If this was a Bethesda game they'd be printing the discs already!

I hope they decide to ditch the live action video in the game. It's not 1997.

apparently sonys getting ready to open up the motorstorm apocalypse beta early december.
hope we do get a TM beta, never played it before so would be nice to see what all the hypes about!

That's promising… Now, give me a release date so I can work out if I can get it on release date, or whether I'll still be a few hunrder hours behind on my backlog. Come on Jaffe, more work, less eating, sleeping and playing.

great news, im excited to see wat "twists" jaffe has install for TM. i think it will be a big online hit aswell! bulk potential cant wait!
Funny how Jaffe was full of tweets and comments up until he announced his own game. Let's see that date if you're so confident.
