The more we hear, the more we hope Catherine receives a North American release date at some point.
Famitsu has been keeping everyone up to date on Atlus' interesting project; it's the first high-definition game from the publisher and also ranks as the third most-wanted game according to Famitsu readers. This week, we learn about the meaning behind the liquor bottle icon we've seen in screenshots: essentially, it tells the player how drunk Vincent is and there are three levels of drunkenness. …well, of course. In order to have a drink, you'll have to visit the Stray Sheep; it's the bar where Vincent and his buddies hang out, and you can buy beer, cocktails, whiskey or nihonshu. The drunker Vincent is, the hotter he is, and his dreams will speed up…which is apparently a good thing.
Famitsu also provided a sneak peek at what happens to Vincent after his fateful one-night stand with the tempting Catherine. The following morning, Vincent's long-time girlfriend – Katherine – knocks at the door when Catherine is still there, which sounds like a definite problem. Another problem is that Vincent gets a call at one point from a dude called "Steve," and he says Catherine is "his girl." Forget the dreams, Vincent; sounds like you have all sorts of real-world issues.

This sounds sooo niche, hope they sell well =S.
And yes I hope this comes here at some point.

I really wonder how the gameplay will turn out.
It'll prolly be good, it's Atlus after all.
I really hope this become some kind of Japanese Heavy Rain , would luv that.
This game will either tank, or excel. I don't see an in between for it.
The more I hear about this game, the more confused I am about it. And yet… I still want it. I hope this gets an English-speaking world release. One of the most original concepts out there.
Peace.
I doubt this will ever see the light of day in North America. If it somehow does, the Best Buy and Toys R Us clerks will be disgruntled about having to regularly dust off the one token copy of the game they'll have in stock.
The more I read about this game, the more I wanaa get it.
If more drunken-ness = more rewards / better gameplay experience, I can sense certain regions crying foul…
It couldn't possibly get a worse rap than GTA series.
Yeah I'm getting this. Listen man, if they weren't at least HOPING to bring it stateside there would be no point in making a 360 version for the 12 xboxes in Japan.
True.
I'm convinced the majority of Japanese 360s sold, as few as there are, are sold to importers overseas. I have one and a Japanese Wii too, just like I had a Japanese PS2.
Fortunately, we were able to chip our PS1, Saturn, and DC to play Japanese games and the N64 (a cart adapter) and the GC (a cart adapter) had simpler fixes.
This sounds fantastic!!
Catherine? I thought this was an invitation to BikerSaint's place.
(Knock on door):
Well hello ladies, you're just in time to join all the other gals)
Alienage,I'd respond a bit more, but sorry, gotta get back to all my girls.
Damn, where the hell did I leave those other cases of booze, and my hand-cuff key????
The story sounds promising.
But since this is the Persona team, I'd say it's as good as going outside of Japan.
Not to mention with this much publicity on it unlike any other Japanese visual novel or Eroge games which are released quietly without the knowledge of the rest of the world.
I like it. Sounds like a game where you actually have to incorporate a good level of thinking.
can we please have this game already?
This game is going to be sweeeet. Vincent, handle that Catherine!
