The launch date saga continues and this time, we might actually have some semi-official information.
According to an Indian source , Sony has confirmed to Indian retailers that GT5 will launch on November 24. Now, if you didn't know, India is part of the SCEE territory so maybe it's safe to assume that such a date goes for most of Europe and the Middle East. It seems GameZen, a Bangalore-based store, received confirmation from Sony's Indian distributor, Milestone Interactive, although the latter has asked that GameZen not take orders just yet. Furthermore, this jives with what we've been hearing throughout the past day or so; members on the NeoGAF message boards and GTPlanet have hinted at a November 24 release date as well. For the record, the 24th is a Wednesday, which is a day later than most new game releases in the US (most new titles hit on Tuesdays). With all the information we currently have, perhaps it's time to expect GT5 within the next couple of weeks…
And if it does arrive this month, racing fanatics everywhere are going to be quite happy. It will also only be three weeks past the originally anticipated November 2 launch date.

I'm sorry, but this no clue GT5 release date nonsense is getting annoying. These guys need to give consumers a release date already because I am tired of this crap with Sony. Seriously, not sure if I'm even interested in this game anymore. I know I'm still going to get it, but when gamestop tells me the game is suppose to release on Jan. 1, but other sources say something else, that is pitiful. PD needs to get their ish together and release this game already. Already paid for AC Brotherhood because I know for sure it will arrive November 16. I haven't even pre-ordered GT5 yet because I don't know if I can get my money back if it doesn't get released…lol…just kidding, but you know the business.
Jan 1 is a placeholder!!!
I'm in the same boat as you, but GT5 is still a D1P for me.
Sick and tired of all the clues and hints, we want a date from Sony.
I think Europe gets it the 24 ( Wed ) & US gets it the 23 ( Tues ).
Yes, me too. This will be amazing. I really hope the game comes out in two weeks. I'm going to a cousin's house for thanksgiving. He want's a 360, I'll so him some epic perfection id so. Plus the game is finished way shouldn't come out sooner rather then later.
The game is finished, Copy's are being shipped off to retailer and there are people who have it. Nov 23/24 is very likely. For us in the USA black Friday is on the 26, So this will be great for them.
Will this be Half-Off Black Friday?
I have been saying November 23rd made most sense. Was I right?
Excellent.
Yes even though Sony ain't give us Jack, we kinda knew it was the 23rd.
Now if they would offer a ps3 + GT5 bundle on Black Friday weekend….
Indeed Highlander, it seems you were right as of right now. I hope that remains true!
Mexgeo – that would be teh awesome…
😉
@laxpro,
Indeed. I don't care either way, as long as the game get's here as soon as possible. I feel like I've been waiting a decade for it now.

@Highlander LOL I'm right there with you buddy 😉
Highlander,
Great minds are still thinking alike!
I called Tues Nov. 23rd too in the last GT5 thread.
@Biker,
It only makes sense, after all it only does everything…
Nicely done, Highlander. I even remember your reasoning. If I remember correctly, did you not even give the play by play on how Sony has contracts to fill and could logistically start after a couple weeks?
Nice call, man.
Me too!
I've been sticking with Black Friday week since the Nov. 2 delay. It only makes sense to have the game out there for the biggest shopping day of the year in the U.S.
Just waiting for the official word. they could still surprise us again and push it to the 30th or even December. But, it sure seems like the stars are aligning for the 23rd.
My Collector's Edition is being shipped from Amazon on day one on Nov 23! Oh man this would be great.
GT5=GOTY
Hey! I appreciate the little clues and hints to the Release of the most "Wanted" game of the year, the game of the year and the best graphics and simulation ever!
Agreed, news almost everyday after it's most resent delay helped me wait the delay or is helping.

This may be the only game I get for the rest of the year. Christmas always has a way at draining the wallet reservoir.
I'm not too worried about the release date just as long as it makes it before Christmas =)
Wow gotta love the indians! I remember when it was the indian boss who was slipping details about the very special edition destined for the world (except for the USA). I am indian and PROUD!
Out of all the rumours and hints, this one seems to be the most convincing.
Can't flipping wait.
My cousin went to sony style building gt5 room & asked one of the reps when it's the damn release day.the rep told him it's coming out this month on a holiday. then my cus asked again which holiday & rep said sorry sir that's all the info I can give you.
I hope this info is true.
Thanks Giving perhaps?
Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the day before Black Friday. This date is perfect. I just wonder why Sony hasn't announced the date yet.
GT5 is being released on November 25!!!
It's just two weeks away, Sony announce it already.
Why would they release the game on thanksgiving? Most places are closed…and it's a thursday…LOL…maybe the blackfriday or tuesday before thanksgiving
It would make sense except that it's not a tuesday. But who cares?! I think GT5 is special enough to come out on any day.
When ever it's released its a day 1 purchase for me, waiting patiently.
Like I said, milking the suspense for all it's worth, sony that is not psxe.
You know, the indecision about all this has sent games journalists into a tizzy and gotten more coverage than any other method. This is great news, and until Sony or Kaz says otherwise, correct. GT5 will release in all regions between the 23rd and 26th of November, and I absolutely can not wait.
Peace.
o, please enough of the teasing!
JUST RELEASE THE GOD DAM THING ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!
"It will also only be three weeks past the originally anticipated November 2 launch date."
of how many years??
I hope it comes out this year. Im off all of january from college..so the timing now would suit me perfectly.
So when stores receive their shipments of this game, are they going to sit there and wait until Sony announces a date before they begin selling it? Because Sony seems to have no interest in communicating with them. Or anyone.
Does anyone remember when this game was originally supposed to release? I think it was a while ago.
The only official release date it ever had was November 2.
The thing that confuses people is the vague commitment made last year to a release in Japan. the game was always slated for a global release strategy, so when we heard news that Sony/PD had said the game would release that holiday season in Japan, everyone made the assumption that it would release everywhere. But no date was given. Time came and went, and still no release date, and then we got word that the game needed more time in the oven for additional features like damage and weather, and 3D.
So as Ben says, the only official date ever given was Nov 2nd, but there were a whole lot of strong hints of a Oct 2009 release during the late summer of 2009, just no specific dates.
I'll believe it when I'm standing in line with said game in hand. While I'm still interested in GT5, I lost all enthusiasm for this game a year ago. Just release it already and enough with the delays! It'll never be "perfect" enough for Mr. Yakamodo or whatever his name is.
i feel like ive been having sex for 5 years and havent finished yet, and sony has been teasing me like the evil woman she is saying ooh we will finish soon -_-
wow what a strange comment.
I guess that's one way of looking at it.
This is great and all but I still won't be able to play it until Christmas…..present for my step son….
So thats why SCEE is retarded. they think India is part of europe…
well we're SCREWED.
😀
but seriously. GT5… wicked.
I still hate Sony and Polyphony Digital right now for excluding everyone but Japan for the GT5 PS3 Racing Bundle, and for excluding only the U.S. for the Signature Edition.
