Another leaked Gran Turismo 5 video has surfaced (or so it seems).
The first featured what appeared to be a lucky early adopter, running down the Trophy list for the highly anticipated racer. This one here features the intro movie we'll all see so I suppose if one is anal enough, they'd call this a "spoiler." But as far as we're concerned, racing games can't really have spoilers, so too bad. The sound isn't exactly perfect but at least you can watch it:
It starts off being very…let's say, mechanical, and then hits the next gear and gives us that patented GT glossiness. So, what do you think? It certainly seems to be the real deal and when we finally have the game in our hands, we'll be able to find out. For now, it's all about the waiting…the waiting…the waiting that kills…

Mixed feelings really. My final decision on it will happen once I see it on my TV.
The piano was interesting, but I detest the kind of sound MCR produces. There are far, far better choices out there imo. Seemed like an anti-climactic crossover to me. Metal or some extremely dark drum n bass, or breakbeats would've been far better.
Thankfully, it has custom soundtracks, so I won't have to listen to the garbage they undoubtedly packed the game full of.
Sometimes, I close my eyes and imagine myself holding the keys to one of the sexiest cars in existence. Then I open my eyes to see I'm holding the keys to my silver 2004 Hyundai Accent with it's killer V4 1.6L engine…
damn.
At least GT5 is looking like I won't have to close my eyes to imagine it, anymore.
Thanks for the laugh!!!
Ha! My 02 focus as least has a 2.0 😀
Next year i'll be buying a 2012 focus, assuming it doesnt end up being junk (which i dont expect). Its more practical than fun, but i'm ok with that. It will have an option for a 1.6L turbo with 180hp@5000(i think, dont quote me on the rpms). It should be pretty decent considering.
haha! it's an inline 4. not a V4 buddy.
Wow, you sure showed me…
Not quite sure which insecurities you have that caused you to feel it important to first laugh at then correct me on a genuinely unimportant detail when considering the context of my post.
But whatever makes you feel validated, kiddo.

Woo hoo, cant wait!
FYI: Bargain shoppers have waited long enough, Enslaved can be had on Amazon right now for $25
When it hits 20USD then I will think about it.
yeah saw it today. i bought it. now that's the right price for that game.
thats got me looking a the g27 steering wheel!!!
Mechanical? Nah. That was downright boring. The first three minutes guarantee you'll be asleep for the best parts.
sigh, yeah, it could've used some more ninjas running through those refineries.
I have to agree with you. That was a terrible intro.
Looks good, but that opening movie probably cost a million to produce….rolls eyes….release the game.
I just wanna play it…
It kinda bothers me how can someone get it so early…………
Anyway, the intro showed cars in production, cars on the busy road and cars on tracks.
In the end, it's all about cars, I'VE BEEN HYPED AGAIN!!!
Beta access?
I think a few copies of the game must have…ahem…"fallen off the back of the truck."
has anyone gone and looked in the store just in case its not out and they still wont tell us? lol just sayin
For some reason, that would not in any way surprise me.
I'll wait and watch it when I finally put the disk in my PS3.
So, my curiosity has been peaked. This is obviously taken in someone's messy bedroom. That means somehow a member of the general populous somehow got a hold of the game early. Also, you see all the messages popping up begging for an add from people so the console is online. The video was censored by Sony at GTPlant meaning it isn't official.
Seems to me it is a leaked version running on a hacked console but I thought this whole new delay was to put the 3.5 SDK on the disc which has yet to be hacked.
I guess what I really want to know is how did this person get the copy of the game so early? Developers kid?
Could it be an early copy that was part of a trial pressing that somehow got out into the wild?
Coverton, the 3.5SDK matters not at this stage it seems. The hacking community has already got around the so called "protection". A "version" parameter has to be changed to tell the console that GT5 can actually be played on pre-updated console hardware.
Most of the new games seem to be able to run just fine without the need to update, however there is no multi-player online support via PSN.
People who bother to go through FTP'ing to there hacked console and changing these files are always running the risk of making a mistake and damaging their systems, but again, it seems the hacking community has been quite "good" clearly explaining what to do, and people seem to be playing it already… Similar for Black Ops and MOH. Nothing is immune from the hacking antics of the community now.
I was amazed to see another effort called XKAI Link… which is a homebrew LAN over INTERNET app that actually does permit 3.41 consoles to play online, directly connecting to PS3's over the internet so you can play with friends. I have heard roumers that an alternative P2P LAN-based internet lobby is in the works for console owners who have yet to update… and there is a "homebrew" PSN store called PSX Store which seems to look and feel similar to the legitimate PSN store. Interestingly enough, they only host demo files.
Amazing what they are doing in some respects, but it must make Sony shiver…
Q!

That intro had to have been put together by insane person. Who in their right mind would think to themselves that particular kind of piano music and assembly line footage goes together in exciting enough manner for a major blockbuster video game? That really has to be someone kind of joke people. That was extremely annoying. Infuriating really.
It's still possible that this isn't the finalized version though
Hope this isn't the final version. It's boring as hell.
Props for reminding me I still want a medievil 3, preferably on ps3.
the psp remake prolly didn't sell that well but that's cause most people want their anti-heroes'/heroes' antics on as big a screen as possible.
And surprise, another gt story with no date.
*grabs a beer off the wall*
I wonder if they're gonna include the gumball rally in here ;P they seem to be including every other possible race including go karts (can't wait to try that out hahaha) seriously though, this game is going to rock, although I'm not really looking forward to all the excuses from butthurt xbox fans on how forza or whatever they have is better… No excuses this time
Don't forget that you can edit tracks in Gt5 too…there's even a trophy – or so I believe.
Having gone so long without a real GT, I resorted to Forza 3 to help bridge the gap of GT racing love'n (it's really been a LONG time since GT4). Forza 3 was actually quite awesome. I preferred GT4 to Forza 1 and 2, but it couldn't top Forza 3.
But GT5? Oh yeah, I think it'll annihilate Forza 3–I might miss the forgiving, not to mention lazy, rewind feature from Forza 3. Ultimately, GT is going to cause Forza 3 to be closed in it's dark lonely case for a long, long time. long time
Maybe I'll pull it out just to compare how big of a gap there is between a finely tuned 360 racer to a finely tuned PS3 racer.
Everything about this intro has me 'unexcited' for this game. The mechanical beginning begs turn me off, and the music chosen for the actual GT5 part is underwhelming. Intros can really make or break a game in the beginning, and this is starting out to be very blah. If GT5 doesn't deliver after all this time, then Polyphony and Sony wasted alot of peoples time including their own. Hope the intro to the actual game is better than this or it isn't is this…either way works for me. Dirt 2 had a better intro and I wouldn't even call that a great intro, but it got me into the game. This intro turned me away with that 3 minute waste of time factory beggining, then that music for the actual GT5 footage is a bad bad choice…sounds like a disney group…lol
I think I'm one of the few who likes the intro.
I think it demonstrates to us that these sleek, powerful cars start as matter unformed from raw resources. Yet despite their crude beginnings of production, these engineered marvels are so much more than just the dust of the earth. For me, the video creates a great sense of appreciation for how far we've come with automotive engineering.
This guy done boosted the game out of the factory!!! i need my Turismo.
This guy done boosted the game out of the factory!!! i need my Turismo.
god dam it sony, just release the god dam thing already!!!!!!!
