With various retail dates and insider info, it now seems apparent that Gran Turismo 5 will make it before mid-December.
There have also been a few leaked videos over the past few days, proving that GT5 is "out there." We have no idea what's legitimate and what's not, and we're not willing to guess; the official date is all that matters to us. Still, one particular video should be of interest to racing fanatics: it shows off the Trophy list for GT5, which sorta proves two things- 1. it looks real so GT5 should exist somewhere, and 2. Platinum-ing this bad boy is gonna be tough.
That Gold Standard trophy, where you have to land a Gold Trophy in every race event, license test and special event ought to be a challenge. Then there are the A-Spec and B-Spec levels (you need to reach Level 40 for each to nab the corresponding trophies), and of course, the different tiers- Extreme, Expert, Professional, Amateur, and Beginner. And if that S license is as impossible to master as it has been in past GTs…

Goddammit Sony where's the announcement for the release date?!?!?!??!?!
IT'S NOT LIKE GT5 HAS BEEN DELAYED FOR ANOTHER 6 MONTHS SO HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO GIVE US ANOTHER DATE!!!!?!?!?!?!
Just give them some more time, they're making sure its absolutely, indefinitely, precisely, 150%, PERFECT!
don't care that much for for driving game but GT is always the exception but the trophies seem tough though
"Course Designer"
Create and share track.
????
You can create track in GT5?
Yes, they announced it back at E3 or game-con.
Well good thing I don't care about trophies. I'm content with just getting them blissfully.
Will be great if they announce the release date on Thanksgiving with an amazing trailer.
***A turkey getting ran over by the X1 and turning it into roasted turkey on the spot!*** HAHA
hey guys, go play GT4… it's gonna be the same… exactly the same.
What do you mean exactly?
…one of the dumbest comments ever uttered.
I just love it when little 12 years old post something without thinking, really reminds me of myself 7 years ago.

I you serious, you either don't have a brain or you've been living under a rock for the past few years.
GT5 is going to be nothing like GT4, GT4 was an amazing game. I pop it in my PS2 every once in a while. GT5 is going to raise the bar, for every racing game to come. GT5 is going to have amazing graphic and is actually a real simulator, unlike Forza.
*facepalm*
Yes i'm serious… it's gonna have cars, driving, racing even? and hey look no drivers in any of the cars. it's the same damn game. all you people replying against it won't change the fact your throwing money at a duplicate of a ps2 game with better graphics.
I will get all of those. But I will equip them over a long period of time. I will enjoy this game to it's full potential.
It's getting so close, I'm so excited
They will announce the release date tomorrow, it's Tuesday, that's going to be 3 weeks before the game releases.
Yeah it kinda coincides with the opening of the Playstation lounge in NYC.
Can't wait, will be there to play the demo they have there.
Hey Scarecrow,
Cool, let us know how it goes there at the new PS Lounge, K?
Hey Scarecrow,
Got ya some additional info….
Anyone looking to try out Gran Turismo 5 will also be able to play the demo offered at this yearâs E3.
Consumers will also be able to try out the Move controller with SingStar and EyePet.
Sony is planning festivities on launch day; guests can get their picture taken with a sackboy from LittleBigPlanet, and even get a free PlayStation Move t-shirt.
Sony is also offering Move bundles every two hours.
The first 50 people to spend over $100 will also get the new bluetooth headset being offered by Sony.
Enjoy your day!
oh poor sony they cant keep the leaks in can they?
first the ps3 slim, than the PSP go, than the PS phone, PSP2, countless games, whole jailbreak fiasco.
when your SDKs are on the net for any joe to download, thats when you know you have serious security problems!
Erm… Yeah, GT5 is out there somewhere, and some lucky prick is playing it. Alas, the aforementioned lucky prick, is not me. Geez, could the anticipation for this game be any higher? I'm actually going to be picking up a racing wheel on the weekend for it. Now, if they would only give us that Nov. 23-26th date I'd be happy.
Oh, and that Trophy list is batsh*t insane. Anyone that manages the GT5 Platinum trophy is deserving of legendary status. I can already see people playing this and despairing in three years time, only a month out from the release of GT6, because they have not managed to attain the Platinum trophy. And then, they get to start all over again. I will not be one of those people, because just… no. But, at least there doesn't appear to be any online trophies. 😀
Peace.
Yeah, gold trophies in all the license tests is going to be somewhat time consuming 🙂 I don't think I ever passed the S license test in GT4. Too bad about the B-spec stuff, I always found those boring. And it sounds like you'll need to do a LOT of them if you want the platinum.
It's good to see that this game is apparently out there and will actually be released. And it's pretty incomprehensible that Sony hasn't given us a new date yet. You know, like they promised to do before the end of last month.
the video is removed
Is coming out the 27 in america and the 30 in Europe
