It's one of the more interesting concepts we've seen, and could prove to be a highly entertaining experience.
Today, Square-Enix has announced the release date for Mindjack , FeelPlus Inc.'s third-person shooter with a unique twist; it'll arrive in North America for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 18, 2011. The game boasts cooperative gameplay via mind control and "other incredible surprises" and most importantly, it seems to "blur the line between traditional single- and multi-player gameplay." The idea is that unmanned NPCs can, at any given moment, transform into human-controlled allies or enemies. The time is 2031 and we will play as Jim Corbijn, a field agent with the Federal Intelligence Agency's elite "Direction Intervention Force." The slick sci-fi theme, coupled with futuristic technology – of which mind-hacking is a part – is compelling.
Players hooked to the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live will seamlessly drop into other single-player experiences and assume the part of an NPC, which turns the game into a really interesting blend. We'll just have to see how well the idea works; it certainly holds promise.

I've never heard of this, is this worth checking out & buying?
Yea, this is new to me too. Although the idea looks promising…I'm not so sure of how it will turn out.

So they are Agents from the Matrix?
That's exactly what I was thinking 😛
No they're actually projections which are in a dream that is within the Matrix which is within the dream of the dream.
I have to say that the game sounds cool, but thats when LBP2 comes out. Then in February you have KZ3, then ICo collection, then inFamous 2, and so on. Ultimately this game will probably be lost in the rush of games.
I was thinking the same thing it seems Sony has a game coming out for each of the first few months of 2011. all I want. Sadly I won't be able to purchase them all for a while. Plus I'll be playing GT5 for a very long time and LBP2, Kill Zone 3 and MotorStorm: apocalypse.
This game does sound interesting, very interesting. But Sony just has me to busy for to long period of a time.
Ben, you deal with the 5 year old?

OT but yes…done.
im defiantly gonna give this one a try. never know it could be a real blessing in disguise and sweep everyone off there feet.
Whoa, I hope they can implement everything in this game correctly, cause this game looks awesome.
Hmmm, this could be the first game that I might even enjoy being in MP mode.
Ok, as of now, Mindjack & Dues Ex:Human Revolution are at the very top of my most wanted list.
I think this is an awesome concept, and the gameplay seems like it will be fun. But that voice acting has got to go. And was anyone else laughing at the narration?
Yep, the narrator's voice just didn't seem to compliment the video at all. There was nothing exciting about how he talked up the games concept.
But it's easily overlooked as it was funny and kinda cheesy! lol
cooperative gameplay via mind control?
WTF?
oooooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.
besides world domination attempts, this actually looks interesting.
not sure it would work, but it is at least intriguing which is less than i can say about 99% of other games!
nice to see a developer trying to stray away from the heard, instead of following them off the cliff!
This looks similar to PsiOps the Mindgate Conspiracy which was a real cool slick game. I wish they would've made part two to that. Anyway, I'm definitely going to buy this game at one point or another.
Wonder what they can do to prevent other people from continuously ruining SP play for others. Is it gonna be like the invasion thing of Demon's Souls?
Don't let M$ steal this techology, or……
"Skynet, here we come"
No worries there. We'd have Terminators that regularly have RROD
