Ben-DutkaAny potentially official news of a Gran Turismo 5 launch date gets us interested…and a little anxious, truth be told.
After the most recent delay, which Sony and Polyphony Digitial boss Kazunori Yamauchi promised wouldn't be too long, there have been no new developments concerning a fresh release date. We did hear we'd receive the new date by the end of October, which is mere days away. However, we have what could be encouraging news from the Portuguese arm of Eurogamer : it seems their source says GT5 will release in Europe on December 3 or at least between the 3rd and the 4th. Of course, the source wished to remain anonymous so we have no further information on that, but at least the estimated date is in line with the common theory. One of the widely accepted beliefs is that the delay will be a few weeks to a month, but Sony will definitely want the game on store shelves worldwide for the holiday season. Also, there has been evidence that the game is done; i.e., the delay wasn't for game-tweaking purposes, but perhaps for security/firmware purposes.
Well, whatever. Just give us that date; early December will be just fine by us. How's about you?

no biggie for me i'll be playing Need for speed hot pursuit. just release it when its ready.
The DF has done some measurements and quick comparisons between the two versions of NFS:HP. It looks to have pixel-perfect parody and are equal performance wise.
So good news for PS3 users who were concerned about the quality.
the BIGGEST difference between NFS series and Gran Turismo series that the later will be always a life time hit ,but the NFS thing will be only a hit game for couple of months
i mean i can play NFS for month or 2 but when i have GRAN TURISMO I CAN KEEP PLAYING IT FOR ever

I really hope that date is fact. My Gamestop has the release date listed as sometime in January of next year. BOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

well if the uk'ers get it before us americans then im just gonna get the that version then from play asia or from somewhere else. Call me impatient but Ive been waiting to play this game for eva O_o. Anyways I played the GT5demo at ebgames, I didn't leave for hours xD. I set all the course records in time trials. It is so difficult to use the sixaxis controller than the steering wheel!

Yes! This is great news… If it is true of course. You'd think that, with this being one of Sony's biggest franchises, they'd have been able to supply us with a real date a tad earlier, but if this is confirmed, I cannot wait. GT5: The most important launch in 2010.

It is, I played the latest demo. By far the best looking racing game to date.

Having to get up in the stupid morning to go stupid work at the other end of the stupid country till the 22nd of stupid December, I'm fine with this new release date. Or any date be before Dec 22. But I hope it's earlier for you guys.

my dad was going to Gamestop today to pre-order me black-ops and he asked the guy behind the counter if he knew when GT5 was going to be released. he said it is only being delayed by two weeks and will be released on November 16th… i know you cant really trust their release dates but hey, you never know it could just be?
As long as the delay doesn't hurt Gran Turismo overall sales I'm cool. I want this game to elevate the Playstation brand back to must have-elite status. With Incredible sales numbers in hardware and software sales to match.

something about the "between the 3rd and 4th" sounds stupid to me!they have it pretty much locked down and it could be one of those days… yeah thats not how this industry works…
I'm just way too anxious to get my hands on it. Although Decemeber 3rd sounds good and all, I have a feeling November will feel way longer than it should!
On a side note, my significant other preordered it for me as one of my bday presents, so at least I don't have to worry about any hassles buying it! (shortages, etc..)
The other present (which was just an excuse! hah..) was the Move along with a second Move controller. I've touched it twice. It's cool.. But not my style.. Yet. We'll see how that goes.

Sweet! I wonder if that means it will release late November here in north America(I hope soo!). But this sounds right like I've been predicting. I surely hope it an't no later then the first week of December, Sony needs this game out for the holoiday, it will surely help Sony with moving a hole lot of Systems and help PD a lot with the holiday rush. Come sony and PD don't push it back to late, some of your die-hard fans are canceling(which I don't understand). GT5 is going to be worth the very long wait, it's going to be epic.

By the way isn't Sony suppose to announce the exact date with in the next dew days.
I'm just confident that it'll be early December or late November. Also, if you guys look at the US Sony Site on the GT5 game pre-order page, there's a date there mentioning "On or About November 30." Basically it's telling us late Nov. or early Dec. like I said.

the delay was not for development purposes, it was to update the SDK for piracy concerns which was totally stupid!
the manager of my local EB told that to me today and promised it would be out by the end of november.
plus sony AU just updated there competition for the signature edition it was suppose to end on november 4 the original date, now its set for december 9.
it was originally set for the release date, so i assume it still is so it should release dec 9.
wont be getting it though, ill be on a island probably running from a volcano by then!

Actually, part of it was also because of development purposes, but that was way back in early October. PD admittedly said they were 3 days late on their side. Then the whole dilemma about the SDK 350 thing made things even more worst, and add that to the fact that it interfered with their schedule for processing other Blu-ray discs too, whether it'd be other games or movies.
If it's not Kazu or Sony, I won't believe no crap from anything, anyone and anywhere, even if they have a "reliable" source.
Even if it's Sony, it's hard to believe. If you believe them like you say, check their official site. You'll fine an estimated Nov. 30 date there.

Dammit i hate how they keep on pushing back gran turismo 5!!! They are losing money, time, and the patience of gamers! It's been like 5 years into the making which is a long ass time for any development to take!! Not only is money a big deal but within 5 years that is enough to make 2 master pieces like the bioshock series!!
Bioshock probably started developement not too long after the 360 cam out and was ported to the ps3 the year after!! Bishock 2 took the team another 2 years in the making!! 2 master piece games that genrated a lot of revenue in a shorter period of time then gt5.
Ever notice that every year after 2002 ever since cod made it's debut they've been releasing multiple games a year (or one) all very good and generate a massive amount of money. I'm guessing mw 2 took 2 years to make and made more money than any other game movie music that ever came before it. In 2 years time that is time well spent and well paid!
This tells me GT5 musta been very sloppy if they keep on pushing it back forever and ever. might as well hope by the end of febuary of next year before they get it out on the market. I know I am bashing but really who dosen't know that?
I expect this game to be an absolute master piece without any flaws whatsoever. There better be no framerate problems, a smooth crisp gameplay is all that needs to win me over and whatever they else they do dosen't matter.
