Media Create Japanese Software Sales: Jan 29th – Feb 4th

It's becoming harder and harder for me to write a new and
witty intro sentence for these weekly Media-Create updates, but
here I am…doing my best. Last week's Media-Create numbers
showed us that the Japanese love Grand Theft Auto, and this
week's chart (January 29th-February 4th) shows us that Japan also
loves soccer. Sega's J-League Pro Soccer sold quite well as the
game picked up over 105k copies sales.

Last week's #1, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, slipped a few
spots to #4 selling nearly 50k games. Aside from J-League, chart
debuts are limited to just a new Harvest Moon for the Nintendo
DS. A notable thing to mention is that Wii Sports and Wii Play
are both approaching the one million mark. Wii Sports needs a
mere 42k copies, which it should accomplish next week; Wii Play
needs just over 150k, which it should do in a month's time.

Stay posted for the hardware chart that should arrive in a few
days. The chart below is as follows:
