Although the majority of readers remain optimistic, there are still quite a few who seem to be giving up hope.
According to our latest poll results, most people believe we'll see Gran Turismo 5 arrive within a month of that missed November 2 launch date. Some say it'll only be a matter of weeks while the majority think GT5 will be on store shelves towards the end of November or at the start of December. After its delay, we heard series creator Kazunori Yamauchi say we shouldn't have to wait too long for the game, and it seemed it was pushed back due to security purposes. Sony also said we can still expect it for the "holidays," so we'd like to think late-Nov/early Dec is just about right. However, a good many readers think GT5 won't see the light of day in 2010, which means the whole situation is growing rather sour in the mouths of many… Polyphony and Sony had best deliver the game or they're going to alienate some would-be fans, you know?
This week, we want to know what your most anticipated super-huge project is. Might it be the hugely anticipated Uncharted 3 ? Or maybe you just have to have GTAV…then again, you might be a colossal FF fan and you're convinced Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the only title that matters. Which one…? Let us know.
Related Game(s): Gran Turismo 5
Uncharted 3. That was easy.
Extremely easy.
If it were just this single security error, they would be able to project a new release date based on when the other project in the batching queue is done. Poly is gonna take this time to polish a few more things, which will turn into a few more things, which will push it into 2011. But I doubt they will lose a single sale for it.
While I have no illusions that Versus will THE FF experience we have been waiting for, I still think it has promise provided they don't junk half of it to make the multiplat status like XIII did. Quantic doesn't even have a new game, The Last Guardian will be sweet but will probably be another 2 years since they don't even know how the levels or battles will work yet, and Uncharted 3 isn't even a whisper yet so I gotta go with Versus and pray it has a taste of the neatness of Crisis Core but on a bigger scale.
Oh boy, this new poll is really tough. Ben, never ever become an exam question writer (dunno if that is what it's officially called, but you know what I mean), your questions would be too tough to answer.
I'd have to go for FFvXIII. No wait, Last Guardian. No wait. Ffffff-
it will be out late Nov/early Dec. December 2th will be a 5 week delay. I don't see them needing more then 5 weeks. Sony and PD won't let it release net year, it will hurt them to much, big mistake. it will be out before mid December, it will.
GT5 Countdown(pridiction): 39 days(tue. Dec. 2)
Uncharted 3 big time. Uncharted 3 is another game that when it will be announced I'm preordering.
I can't begin to amazon how epic Uncharted 3 will be, I mean look how much the sequel progressed. Yes, the PS3 does have enough room for that much of a difference.
For the poll just ended, I voted for the "end of Nov-beginning of Dec".
As for the new poll, I'd like to them all right now except for FF, but…..
Quantic Dream's next title is definitely a certifiable no-brainer for me
I picked The Last Guardian. We've already got installments from each of those developers this gen except Team ICO.
No doubt i want Uncharted 3 and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, but i can wait a bit longer for another Uncharted and i have little hope Versus XIII will remain to be the same game Nomura intended. There's just too much jackassery and douchebaggery going on over at Square have any any hope left.
So Team ICO's The Last Guardian it is.
GTA V should be another good title in the series (haven't played any game in the series yet, so I need to catch up); I'm extremely skeptical about Versus XIII because of Square's recent track record; Quantic Dream is probably a long ways out before we hear the faintest of whispers from them on a new project; Uncharted 3 will most likely be as epic and fun as Uncharted 2 was, HOWEVER, The Last Guardian just seems so unique. Playing as a young boy who tries to domesticate what could potentially be a baby Colossus? There's really nothing like it, so that received my vote.

GTAV and Agent.
Uncharted 3
Those who are choosing FFVSXIII are going to be sorely disappointed. You'll have the chance to play every game on that list before it shows up in stores.
Although i love the Uncharted series i have to say The Last Guardian.Team ico that made Ico and Shadow of the colossus how can i not be excited!

This gt5 delay worked on my favor since it droped the price of the G27 & gives me time to upgrade the Hdd to 1tb cause I'm still waiting for the ps3 external HDD eclousure to be delivered.
Gt5 should be here in december.
Resident Evil for the PSP. I just want to see some screens and information on the gameplay. I'm hoping for big things from this game.
I completely forgot about that game until now.
Eh, given that there hasn't been the faintest whisper of that since E3 last year, I'm going with sh*tcanned. I'll look forward to it though. The PSP has the potential to bring horror back.
Peace.
GTA V & Uncharted 3
I can just imagine 360 fanboards imploding if/when gt5 doesn't release this year.
I remember 2 years ago thinking, hmm no gt5 this holiday? they must really want it polished, re-polished, and spit-shined for holiday 2010.
Now they're still afraid to see their baby see the light of day.
I have a hard time believing security to be the real reason. From what I've heard the ps3 still wasn't going to be cracked anytime soon even without another update. Is some possibly bogus pretense really worth losing a months sales time (ie half the holiday season)?
PS uncharted 3 for me.
Have yet to pickup heavy rain since I don't really rush out for murder mysteries and if I had a kid that annoying I'd send the kidnappers a fruit basket for taking him off my hands.
The rest have had plenty of time to release some enticing media but have seemingly refused to do so.

I'd probably send them a fruit basket on your behalf too. With those parenting skills, there's no hope your kid WONT be annoying!
I kid I kid……… .
I always think of the famous exchange from 'The Agony And The Ecstasy' when the topic of 'Grand Turismo 5's release date pops up:
"When will you make an end?"
"When I am finished!"
And that's good enough for me, as I've never played a bad 'Gran Turismo' and '5' undoubtedly looks like the best yet.
As for the current poll, I want them all. And it would deal me quite a blow if I had to pick one to NOT play as soon as they were available.
But this is what order I would choose them in:
01. Quantic Dream's new game, since they make games like no other developer.
02. 'The Last Guardian', for the same reasons as my top pick.
03. 'Final Fantasy Versus XIII', because I haven't loved a 'Final Fantasy' since 'X' and this could very well be the title that brings back all my affection for the series.
04. 'Uncharted 3' seems like a surefire Game of the Year contender based solely on the series' previous outings.
05. The next 'Grand Theft Auto' I want because I'm a sucker for open worlds, but I place this at the bottom because I'm not sure what direction it will go in.
GRAN Turismo 5
I didn't vote on the last poll, but GT5 will definitely be out this year. Probably looming towards the very end though.
For the new poll, well. Let me again first say, the next iteration will NOT be GTAV. It'll be another spin-off type title. I'm interested in it, no doubt but am kind of burnt out on Rockstar's formula. Looking more forward to L.A. Noire than that.
Versus XIII should be a very good game, and certainly looks intriguing, but again, it hasn't shown me anything to wow me, and FFXIII certainly didn't help in that regard.
QD's next title will be fantastic. I know nothing about it and am already making that prediction, but considering that we know nothing about it, it's hard to be excited for it.
Uncharted 3 is proven. That is the one. The first one fantastic, the second was phenomenal, and if ND can step it up, the third will be positively 'Hideous'. Absolutely cannot wait for it.
The Last Guardian, while certainly fascinating, unique and a must-buy title, simply cannot stack up against U3 right now. I may be singing a different tune when it releases though. Another reason for not picking it is because we actually haven't the faintest idea of a possible release date, whereas we can take an educated guess for U3.
Peace.
it wont be november, theres heaps of games which need to go through the processing plant, sony cant just go in and say sorry were taking your slot.
sony will have to wait till all the other games are done.
last i heard december 2 is looking likely.
exactly 1 month after the original US date, and its a thursday here which is when 99.9999% of games release.
does not matter though i wont be here most likely when it releases so canceled my signature edition pre order today put it towards a new 480GTX.
cant believe how much they have dropped!
bought a 470 the week before mafia 2 came out, now in the space of not even 2 months the 480s have dropped from 700 bucks to 450!
I'm Really hyped for uncharted 3 at the moment. Hopefully sony would release it by next year's hollidays to compete with Gear of war 3. As for GT5, I think sony had better released it this year considering the number of tripple A titles releasing in the first quater of 2011. I was initialy considering FFV13, i guess at this point SE has made up their mind to go the multiplat route this will undoubtedly result to another lack lustre FF game (FF13). On a side note, i just read somewhere that Uncharted 3 will be set in India..wow! Considering how rich in culture and arts india is. This is a win for me already.

I thought Gears 3 was set for an April release?
nope got delayed till late 2011.
sony does not need uncharted 3 though for next year, they have resistance 3 and SOCOM 4.
not to mention Agent which im preying will be out then, but dont hold your breath.
uncharted 3 wont be out till holiday 2012 at the earliest!
I have very high hopes for The Last guardian, I want it so bad I can almost taste it.
Had to choose between UC 3 en The last guardian. Both I want badly, but thinking about the Shadow of the Colossus on the ps2 and the footage shown of their new project… I want The last guardian.
Yeah it was but not anymore.
I really need some gameplay video of last guardian to remain optimistic for that game cos last video footage i saw of that game wasnt all that impressive.
Well, according to what's been reported, the game isn't being worked on anymore, so it isn't a matter of polishing the game anymore. They're finished with the game, but 3 days later than the intended date. Right now, it seems to be the matter of producing enough BDDs within the busy schedule, and with the correct SDK. So, GT5 can't be delayed too long.
As for the current pole, I'm leaning towards The Last Guardian and FFvsXIII. I say Last Guardian because it seems to be a unique experience that I really want to get my hands on. I say FFvsXIII because I know that game will last for hours, and I've been waiting for an action rpg to play for awhile.
I think the biggest project right now, is GT5 for Sony. Definitely couldn't be more excited for it than I am right now 😉
Truth. The Gran Turismo series is a huge seller for Sony.
I can't see the reason on why GT5 wouldn't be out this year.
It better be.. LOL
Damn, I can't pick between Uncharted 3 and FFvXIII, I've been waiting for vXIII a hell of a long time, but with all those rumors of it going multiplatform and of course I'm hoping it won't, but if it will I will definitely go for Uncharted 3 before I would go for vXIII, cuz I know Uncharted 3 will deliver no matter what.
But, since Square's whole being now depends on Versus XIII being pure awesome, I'm going with that.
Though I'm still psyched for every other game on that list, just saying.
I hope GT5 is released before christmas but if it isn't I understand better to have a great working game then a non working game 🙂
That was a tough one Ben I really want ICO's Last Guardian but I had to choose just one so I chose UC3 I love this series but I do agree with Jawknee.
GT5…who knows. I'd say I'm optimistic that it will come out this year, but I was 100% convinced it would be out by Nov. 3. Maybe it will show up in my mailbox some day; until then I'm not even going to think about it any more. Having fun with F1 2010 now that I turned the difficulty down to medium 🙂 I think I better turn it up to "hard" at least, since I'm finishing in first place by 2 seconds all the time.
Out of the choices in the poll, I'd be most interested in Uncharted 3. Though I still haven't played the second one yet. I imagine it will drop in price now that the GOTY version came out. It might finally be time 🙂
Wow… You actually waited all this time without playing a masterpeice like Uncharted 2 because you were waiting for the price to drop?
Not a huge fan of GTA.
Without any ACTUAL gameplay footage, I'm hardly interested in Versus anymore.
Never played Heavy Rain, so Quantic Dream's next project doesn't fascinate me.
UC3 all the way man, that game will blow every single game off the water.
I'm not that interested in Last Guardian but I'm keeping a close watch.
HMV sent me an email today saying about preordering GT5 for… (drum roll)….

1/12/10
So Dec 1st?
So many dates, nothing in concrete.
Very frustrating.
Amazon has the release date for GT5 on December 31st.
I doubt that.. reason being that by hook or by crook Sony will want this out before Xmas.
I am accounting the GT5 delay to a conspiracy by SONY to have the waiting fans foamjng at the mouth and bursting at the seams for the impending release.
Or maybe they are allowing the MOVE some space with the unexpected successful sales. Or maybe security is the actual issue. Who knows? There is no doubt this wil be a behemoth release.
As far as the poll. I chose Uncharted: World of Deceit (lol…) as my most exciting title. Exciting being the key word due to the Hollywood movie nature of the game. I look forward to the Last Guardian as my most anticipated release because this is a game that I will undoubtedly escape to a faraway land with.
Those who vote GTAV over The Last Guardian have no taste.
Or just have different taste than your own.
I didn't chose either.
I agree with Crow though i would have said it different. They have poor taste.
