GT5 Settles On Intro Theme Song

Music has always been a big part of the Gran Turismo experience, and the introductory song is certainly important.

It has been announced that "Planetary (GO!)" will be the intro theme song for Gran Turismo 5 . It's one of the tracks off the new My Chemical Romance album, "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys." Said lead singer Gerard Way:

"Gran Turismo is one of the most beloved videogame franchises of all time, with fans across the globe. Having a song featured as the lead intro to GT5 allows us to reach fans beyond radio and online and into a totally different platform. We are thrilled that our song is going to be the first thing you hear when you boot up the game."

If you're unfamiliar with the song…well, too bad.  You'll have to go find it and listen.  The one at YouTube – the one we originally posted – isn't it; that's just some loser trying to steal a song title, apparently.  Sorry about the confusion. If you can find a link to the real song and want to post it up in the Comments section, feel free to do so.

Anyway, The album in question will be released by Reprise Records on November 22; it's produced by Warner Bros. Records Chairman Rob Cavallo, who also produced MCR's platinum-selling album, "The Black Parade," as well as other albums by Dave Matthews Band, Jawbreaker, and The Goo Goo Dolls.
