Of The End Update: Voice Actors, Guns, Added Info

We've been keeping a close eye on Yakuza: Of The End , which features a few significant changes to the standard franchise formula.

If you're interested in learning even more, head on over to Andriasang for a big behind-the-scenes update. They provide you with a horde of screenshots along with character information for most of the cast (including their corresponding voice actors). Kamurocho has been decimated by the living dead and with the Self Defense Wall set up around the city to protect the rest of Japan, it's up to Kazuma and Co. to deal with the flesh-eating swarms. Joining Kiryu in the battle will be Ryuji Goda, Goro Majima and Shun Akiyama, all of whom have been in previous installments and now will carry specific weaponry. We also learn more about how each character becomes involved in the mess, and a few extra screens showing the characters with their favorite firearms. Such updates make us hope Sega won't take so long in localizing what appears to be the last Yakuza ; historically, it has taken over a year for new games in the series to arrive in the US.

Yakuza: Of The End is supposed to hit Japan in April 2011 and we still haven't even seen the most recently released title, so… We probably have a bit of a wait before us. Still, looks interesting.

Kiryu,

Glad to see you’ve come around and calmed down about this game. When this was announced, you were freaking out about the use of guns in addition to melee attack… unless I have you confused with someone else here who is also a huge Yakuza fan.

I still need to import Yakuza 4 before the U.S. release and Black Panther for the PSP.

Hopefully it doesn't play like Dead Rising.

I heard the creator call this game canon.

Fine by me! CAN'T WAIT!

Where? I have never read that; and I follow the Japanese import scene very closely.

Did I miss something? I remember playing a demo of the 1st Yakuza way back when. How did the zombies come into play? I may have to check this out cause as you all know, I <3 zombies. Well, the genre.

I really need to give these games a chance. I was a bit underwhelmed by the Yakuza 3 demo but everything I hear about the games I find appealing.

Let me get this straight. A Yakuza game with zombies. Not english voices, zombies.

Uh… nice one.

God this game looks great! Thankfully SEGA's still releasing them in the US.

I think this is the approach Japanese companies should take. Print out "just enough" copies in the US. If there's more demand, print more.

As long as the Japanese keep being the Yakuza games, us American fans will still be getting this awesome series.

Thank you Sega!

a bit!?
looking forward to yakuza 4 though, just hope they remove all that tedious babysitting BS!
can someone please explain to me what part of roaming around looking for a kid, with no indication of where they are.
what part of that sounds like fun?
since when is walking around in circles for half a hour fun?
