Splatterhouse looks like good clean fun 'cough' and after several delays, we might have a believable release date.
Currently in development by Namco Bandai for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, this remake of an original beat-'em-up classic looks to feature a ton of fast-paced action and gritty gore. Players will step into the shoes of Rick Taylor, who embarks on a mission to save his girlfriend, Jennifer, from hordes of vicious fiends. All Taylor knows is that she disappeared after entering a mansion owned by the mysterious scientist Dr. West, who has been creating some seriously nasty things behind closed doors. And so, in classic video game style, the hero dons a Mayan Terror Mask and becomes a massive killing machine. The concept is certainly appealing and provided Electronic Theatre has the correct information, we can expect to see the game towards the end of November. The source gives Splatterhouse a November 26 date but just bear in mind that it appears to be the UK date; the US date might be a bit different. We'll just have to wait and see.
For the most part, though, the difference between US/UK releases is usually only a couple of days, so perhaps it's now safe to assume that Splatterhouse will be ready to rock for the holiday season.

I'm more of a nuclear winter? got anything for me?
If it wasn't for Ben I wouldn't even know this game existed. I fear its lonely single player campaign will go by the wayside this fall.
I bet this game will be fun, but I won't hold my breath for great reviews. Man how long has this been in development?
I'm worried this game will focus too much on gore and not enough on gameplay.
I think the game will have the old 3 games or that you need to unlock them, not sure but it look like a good 20 dollar game.
I hope. I have the ones available on the VC. I'd like them on my PS3 though.
Just read up on this. It looks like the three originals will be in there and uncensored.
looking forward to this, looks like another one of those guilty pleasures.
saw 2 releases the week earlier, could of timed the release better, bad idea to have 2 games so similar release within a week but eh.
from the game footage i've seen, this game looks like repetitive trash with tons of gore.
Looks like ol' school fun!
Was a big fan of the originals.
