It's one of the most anticipated games of the year, and it's destined to clash with Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops for holiday season supremacy.
EA has revealed that Medal of Honor has broken the pre-order record for the 11-year-old franchise, and we've still got a week to go before the game arrives. They wouldn't give us any numbers, though, so we'll just have to take EA's word for it. The new MoH installment is a reboot of the series; it features a modern setting in Afghanistan and will depict the ongoing war on terror. The elite Tier 1 Operators take center stage, and it'll be interesting to attempt missions that no one else wants to attempt. The multiplayer beta debuted on the PlayStation 3 and EA will kick off the PC beta test starting October 4; PC gamers can actually download it on the 1st. Now, the question is: if you had to pick one shooter to buy this fall, would it be Medal of Honor ? Or would it be Black Ops ? We have plenty of faith in both and we've been looking for a MoH rejuvenation for quite some time, as the more recent entries have been seriously lacking.
Anyway, stay tuned for our review of the game. We'll be either on point or early with this one, depending on the embargo.
