Beatshapers Brings Flashy StarDrone To PlayStation 3

If you're looking for something bright, fast-paced, accessible and just plain entertaining, Beatshapers may have the game for you.

The company responsible for several top-notch titles on the miniS platform has announced StarDrone for the PlayStation 3. It's a PC classic from TastyPlay.com and along with updated visuals it will also boast support for both PlayStation Move and stereoscopic 3D. Featuring 50 levels of craziness where you must cause your foes to crash into each other, StarDrone is about speed and agility. Avoid the enemies, grab the crystals, and make your way through ASAP.

They say it's "friendly to beginners" but packs enough of a long-term challenge that veterans will want to keep coming back for more. It sort of reminds us of some of the quirky Q games productions for the PSN, like PixelJunk Shooter . Except this one is much faster, not as artsy, and oh yes, supports Move and 3D. The game should be ready to go some time this fall; we'll be looking forward to giving it a try.

I was gonna say it looks like PixelJunk Eden on crack but a mix of shooter and Eden on crack might be more fitting!

I have a strict "Say no to minis" policy. It would take a builder/civ type game to make me brake it.

Who says this is a Mini? It is by a developer of Minis, but I didn't read anywhere this was a Mini.

Can Mini games even incorporate Move controls seeing as how they need to be playable on the PSP too?

Well I also have a strict "Say no to flash games" policy as well. Does that count?

I'd like to beat this into a new shape and kick it into next week so I never have to see it again.
