Either way, the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Game of the Year Edition is on the way: as revealed at the PlayStation Blog , the loaded new edition will release on October 12 in North America for the price of $49.99. Not only will you get the stellar game, but you'll also get a "super voucher" for the PSN that lets you download all of the following downloadable content:
The total value of all that stuff comes to over $35; that's what it would cost to purchase it all separately, and some of the DLC isn't even available separately. Also, on October 16, feel free to join the Naughty Dog guys online to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Uncharted 2 . They'll be running a special one-day only playlist which includes a "Best of…" selection of game types chosen from previous episodes of "The Lab."

My $24.99 used game deal doesn't feel as good as it did a few days ago now. Oh well, I actually can't say I've ever downloaded an add-on for any game this gen. Actually I did for Tekken 5DR, had to have online play.
I did for JC2, the DLCs were very cheap and offered some insane fun. Also grabbed the DLC for VC but those were rather expensive.
I do plan to get the WipEout HD Fury expansion. I just don't feel like i've given the original game enough time to warrant the expansion just yet. I am getting there, though.
At least u got it for 24.99 I got it used for 55.99 but it's still worth it. If anyone haven't played this game they got no excuse now with all that stuff that comes with the game.
Why would you buy it used for $56 when you can get it NEW for $60. Did you really need a hotdog stand meal that day or what?

This is a pretty great package for the VERY few that haven't played this amazing game yet.
But I'm kinda pissed at all the freebies. I think it would be a great idea for developers to implement a week1 purchase activation of a game for those that purchased a game at the beginning of its release with the idea of offering free incentives to them down the line during the game's life cycle.

there's always a GOTY game with it's best, and it's side dishes… it's always got the best, with more free stuff about the best, and given to you for free as a nice bonus for buying the best…
it's the best of the best with a side of the best… did you need any extra sauces??
haha yea about time though I mean this game was legit GoTY so naturally it should get one of these versions.

What a conundrum. You'd have to be a fool to not have bought and played a copy of UC2 and yet acting like said fool has netted you the best version of the game. Unless you're cheap. Then you're a cheap fool and there really is no helping you.

Soooo, we're quite happy to just wait it out till the GOTY copy comes out, and then we get it all, and for much less **cough** Fallout3 GOTY & LBP GOTY @$35 each **cough**.
BTW, I'll also be picking up this GOTY too during one of GS's "buy2-get1 free" deals
As you can clearly see, it really takes smarts to even be a cheap fool like me. LMAO

Well… shame on me. I've yet to play the Uncharted games. Oh they're on my list, but my gaming schedule and budget are both tight. I only get a few games a year and every time I'm ready to get a new game, there's something else that appeals to me more, like Assassins Creed 2, GOW3, and just recently Valkyria Chronicles 2. I got Infamous for free a little while ago, which was super cool.
I'm thinking this'll be a real good excuse for me to get Uncharted 1&2 for myself as an early Christmas present. Once I'm finished VC2 and have a few dollars to spare.

Great news. I am really tempted to pick this up.
Unfortunately, this is why I almost never pick up a new release. I really want Fallout Vegas and Assassins Brotherhood but I know in 6-12 months after release there'll be a "game of the year" version with all the dlc included, at the original release price.
Until then I'll keep my wallet in my pocket.

Can I install the DLC and all users on my PS3 can use it?? I ask this because I play with an account from Spain (there was no mexican store when I bought my PS3)…

all users on ur ps3 account can use it, but be sure to download it with the account you consider yours

I thought the dlc was on the disc, thats how Oblivion was anyways.
The DLC specified in this article will likely come on the disc much like LBP GOTY.
Aaron is correct though in saying all users can use DLC purchased off PSN as long as it was purchased with the main account and not a sub account.

The GOTY edition is exactly the same disc as the regular edition. It comes with a download code for all of the DLC. None of the extra content is on the game disc.
It even says so in the article:

If you buy an American copy of the disc, the code will probably work only in the U.S. store.
Generally speaking, you need to buy DLC from the region where you got the disc, otherwise the DLC won't work with the game.
Most DLC, once downloaded, will work with ANY profile on your PS3. For instance, I have bought Rock Band songs on both my own account and my father's account (different songs on each account) and have installed those songs on both my PS3 and his and they work with all the profiles on both PS3s.
There may be exceptions that are locked to the profile/account which purchased the DLC, but I have not personally encountered any.
More to come eh? I want an Uncharted zombie mode. I'd take a zombie add on to any game ever made though lol.

come on ND, ive been screaming for a GOTY edition for months in hopes you would add some new levels, 3D support or at least move support!

I would probably buy this again had i not already own most of what comes with it. Pinball and avatar packs arent enough to get me to drop another 50 bucks. Already spent close to 90 over time buying the game at launch and the rest of the DLC when it arrived.

Depend on how you want it to be feel. Like escalation or rough. I'm not saying Borderland is bad tho, it just compare to Uncharted 2 you will feel strange. Good thing Borderland is in different graphic style.
