The young'uns may not remember the "Max Max" movies but that's okay. The game might be bad-ass enough for everyone.
According to Giant Bomb , Mad Max 4: Fury Road might actually be in development at Just Cause developer, Avalanche Studios. The fourth Mad Max supposedly began pre-production in lat 2009, and producer-director George Miller said it would "take a year to build the cars used in the sequel." But there's another twist to all this- God of War II producer Cory Barlog has been linked to the game for a while, and in fact, he just confirmed that again on his Twitter page :
"I need a rockstar lead level girl or guy who is up for the challenge of making an amazing AAA Mad Max game."
"A heads up to all level designers, more specifically lead level designers. Want make a Mad Max game with me?"
Perhaps not coincidentally, Barlog has been visiting Avalanche's home base in Stockholm, Sweden and as the source indicates, Avalanche founder Christofer Sundberg re-Tweeted Barlog's messages. Furthermore, there was a May report saying Avalanche was working on "a major Hollywood license" that will be developed "alongside an upcoming 2012 movie." Well, all right. So what do you want more? Game or movie?
Nop, no idea what Mad Max is but since Cory Barlog is in this, I'll keep an eye out for this one.
Watch Mad Max 2. That's all you need to know.
You have to seriously consider watching Mad Max 1 and 2, true action movies, no CGI BS and real stunts…
The best post apocalytpic movie I have ever seen…
However, I have a serious doubt: Who will voice Max???

Mad Max is a post apocalyptic movies starring Mel Gibson. I liked the movies personally. Hope they make a good game from it.
"Max Max" lol.
Ummm I didn't even know there was 3 previous Mad Max games. I used to love those movies as a kid.
Now, well Mel Gibson is wicked old and super racist and just a general wackjob who makes it hard to separate the actor from the character. Not sure how I feel about a new movie, a game mayhaps could be interesting but what a strange title to drum up these days.
Meh, I just see him as what most celebs really are he just happens to have the misfortune of being an alcoholic and opening up about it.
i cant wait for this game and this movie. the mad max movies are some of the best ever, the third was ok but not as good as the first 2 though, i still loved it.
Limited: "he just happens to have the misfortune of being an alcoholic and opening up about it"
I believe misfortune is when something outside of your control happens to you. When you're an alcoholic, philandering, woman abusing, racist bigot, that isn't misfortune.
First of all we don't know if he abuses women or not. His ex wife (she was married to him for over 2 decades) came out and said he never hurt her and the accuser (his baby's momma) is hardly a credible victim.
I could have used a better word than misfortune but the point still remains. I view him as what most celebrities are except he likes to get drunk and voice it.
And to be honest we're all a little racist/prejudice and the Jews did snitch on Jesus.

Well at least now Mel is actually mad.
I had a Mad Max poster in my room as a kid and now I'm embarrassed about it. Especially since one of the kids has one in his room in SP and I'm reminded of it by my friends.
I remember playing Max Max on the NES and laughing at how bad it was.
Is SP South Park?
YES, and it always will be.
I still have all 3 of my M.M. movies.
Hope they make the game.
Game and movie please!
Looks like Twisted Metal might have a little competition.
I think RAGE might be closer to Mad Max than Twisted Metal.
I know LV wants an updated gander at Tina Turner's legs 😉
What's love got to do with it?
"You're simply the best" for mentioning Tina's legs…
Those are the finest I've seen in a loooong time…
now that would be so cool!
we seriously need a open world game, though cory seems like a weird guy to be helming it.
i mean he did literally make GOW2, but i cant see him doing a game like this just not his style.
The movies I thought were good, but I like the first one better. If they make the game with a similar feel as the movies I would definitely be interested.
First was crazy. Second was cool. Third was trash.
I loved the first two Mad Max movies, but that Thunderdome thing was pretty crummy. Can't say I'm too stoked about a fourth, but who knows. I never even knew there were any Mad Max games – it could be an absolutely fantastic concept if done correctly, with adequate development time. Being a movie tie-in, I doubt that will be the case though. I think Rage will probably be the Mad Max type game I'll be buying.
What's this guy talking about? It's scheduled for release on October 19 in North America.
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug' yea!!!
mad max!
i finally don't have to rely on fallout 3 to create a mad max like environment.
I, for one, am super ecstatic for a (well-made) mad max game.i loved part I. but yea, part II is really the defining movie in the trilogy.
Mad Max, I want both movie and game to be awesome.
I've seen the movies but I had no idea there was ever a game. What kind of game will it be?
I hope they do well with this, Sounds like it could be good, If they do a good job.
