Square-Enix showed off more of Final Fantasy Versus XIII at the Tokyo Game Show, but apparently, that presentation took place behind closed doors. Therefore, you can't find footage for whatever they showed, which is in stark contrast to most all other TGS 2010 media; that stuff has been flying for days. But some sources are at least able to describe what they saw: essentially, the footage showed main character Noctis running about a wasteland, after which he arrives at a city and fights a huge Behemoth. But that's not the part that is going to turn heads; this is the head-turning bit-
"Apparently, the quality of gameplay is so high that it’s hard to believe players can actually control what’s being done on screen."
Famitsu describes the footage as "very fantastic" and "very realistic," and this isn't the first time we've heard a mention of the game's stunning clarity and realism. Producer Tetsuya Nomura tweeted that Versus XIII looked like "a picture taken in real life," and just about everyone who sees it in motion comes away impressed. Now, if we could only have some official gameplay directly in front of our eyes…

GoWIII is the best looking game on the PS3, what else did you want out of it visually?
since when are we talking about graphics, i thought we were talking about gameplay?
GOW3 was far too repetitive, linear and had far too much backtracking you feel like your running around in circles throughout the whole game.
not to mention it had no where near enough puzzles, and what puzzles it did have were far too easy, small and linear.
only good puzzle in the game is the garden one, but even that pales to the puzzles in GOW1 or even 2.

Seriously, GOWIII might not have been my favourite game, but the visuals are awesome.
I have faith in the FFvsXIII team, i think they can pull through for us this time.

That is absolutely not what they said about GOWIII. Santa Monica Studios might have said it but SE didn't say it, plus they are two different games in two different genres.
They did make similar comments about FFXIII though so you would be right in calling them out on that but as it stands you're just pissing and moaning for the sake of such as per your norm.

No news item for the best looking JRPG of the gen, The Another World? That almost stole the show and looks prettier than a rose!!
Did i mention it has HD towns and a HD FREE ROAM world map like the days of old!!?
The trailer told me that it is a golden era Rpg with a modern innovative twist with incredible music, graphics, art direction, gameplay and a storyline that could be one of the best and a real tear jerker! It could very well be one of the best Rpg's of the gen and carry a DQVlll type impact on gamers.
Enough of giving Enix space they don't deserve…..and for just info??
The Another World had Trailers, info and a demo on the floor and blew the hell out of me more than any Enix game to date!
Ah well…..I just feel people should be hip to it. It was a major highlight. It just seems like a lot complain over Enix and others about not being true to Rpg roots and write about what you want to see…in pops Level 5 with Ghibli with a god like Rpg that matches your requests and MORE….and you still give space to an Enix game that may or may not be good….and it's just info!
Why are we not supporting what we supposedly want??

If I am to be honest, I have to agree with this guys comment!
Okay, sure, we don't know exactly what went off behind "closed doors" at TGS with FF v13. SO it's hard to disregard the potential of the game. However, I fail to see it having the true zest the FF series once had. Thus, I don't look forward to it as much as I should. Maybe when it comes out I will be eating my words from a plate, who knows?
However, The Another World, like you say Lotusflow3r, does hold strong the JRPG elements I so greatly miss these days. The magic, the vibrance, the "feel better, feel good, feel wonderful factor", shall we call it? It's all in this game and to top it all off, it has outstanding visuals, picture-perfect to its most literal context. Plus, a heart-rendering story that is sure to have me passionate about the characters as I once was with DQ's.
You're right to speak up about the lack of news surrounding this game. Games like these need more publicity. The new days are coming, but the old ways are back! Let's publicize this trend a little more, huh?

You're right about The Another World looking amazing. Looks like DQ8's engine on steroids. The depth of field is some of the best I've ever seen in a game. Though to be fair it's graphics are more of an artistic water paint approach than the "realistic" one SE seems to be going with for FFVersusXIII

That video does look pretty sweet. The one I saw was short – but the fight with the Behemoth was promising.
I'm getting more excited about this game now.

That's simply awesome. Even for low quality cell phone footage. Now mix in the epic story that is sure to be present and you have yourself a winner. Even if it is an action RPG. I really cannot wait for this game.

People did a tiny bit… they were all putting their faith into this title. If it delivers, they'll maintain some fans. If it shites out, many will give up on them!
