The press release doesn't mention any additions but then again, who needs 'em? This is Demon's Souls !

Makes me cringe everytime I see that people actually bought FFXIII and not Demon's Souls.

Demon's Souls steps all over any rpg released this gen. Even story/plot wise it really is a deep game/experience.
If people don't get it for this low price I feel sad for the future of gaming.
Up there with Uncharted 2, MGS4, Infamous, etc.

But it's a shame that it's a Lightening deal so it's got only 55 minutes left on the clock to buy.

As proff of how good this game is. I have a friend who since launch had been playing nothing but MW2, he was a twitch gamer beyond belief. But one night when we were drinking at my house I let him try out Demon's Souls. Ever since he has become somewhat of an addict. So if this game can switch a twitch gamer over to an RPG player, then it must be considered one of the best RPGs of all time. Because no other RPG I tried to make him play did it, not even Fallout.
Will the online stuff make the game a little easier or the difficulty will be same?

It will be easy since they have it on Pure White Tendency right now.
Correction, the White Tendency event ended a long time ago.

The game will be hard regardless. If you play online you might get help from other players (blue phantoms) but at the same time your world might get invaded by a black phantom player whose goal is to kill you and steal your souls.
If you play offline the server will not help you. The server as it is makes your worlds easier (raising your world's tendency). Tendency = difficulty. The whiter your worlds the easier they are, the blacker they are the harder they are. So if you play offline you could easily find yourself playing in black tendency, your worlds will be extra hard.
Both scenarios have their pluses and minuses. Online is the better option since that's how the game is supposed to be played.
Ah, didn't know that i haven't checked since my PS3 died.

I hope you can pay to fix it (or even fix it yourself, there's some youtube vids that show you how).
Or the best option, get a Slim. I've got one and I can tell you it's easily the quietest/nicest console I've owned. Only ps1 is just as smooth. Doesn't heat up at all either.
Anyway, hope you get to play DS again
Great game… need to get back to it sometime. I really want to play more than just the first world. >.>
But, what about FROM Software's new title. Announced by Sony at TGS, the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls, it is Project Dark!
Alright, I'm talking it up here. I know nothing about the game other than the title and this from Hidetaka Miyazaka "for those who enjoyed Demon's Souls, those who like From's dark fantasy games, and those who just like games will enjoy the new game."

Even if the name's different, as long as it's still an action/rpg I'll be all over this game.
Sadly they've only shown the project's logo…

The "Greatest Hits" title is very well deserved for this excellent japanese rpg. They should make a DLC for DS now … 🙁
