This is more of a reminder than anything else, just because it's so freakin' cool.
We found out some time ago that Sega would be bringing Dreamcast classics to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace and now, the endeavor has been dubbed the Dreamcast Reprint Project , with the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as targeted platforms. In fact, Sonic Adventure should release to both online services on September 29, and Crazy Taxi is en route as well. Now that they've opened a full portal site, perhaps the entire thing will really take off; it already includes several titles set for future re-release under the program. The Dreamcast's timing may have been bad but there are still hordes of fans out there, and they'll definitely appreciate the reemergence of Sega classics. When we heard PS1 classics would be hitting the PSN, we were all sorts of excited; as of now, we want to see what Sega will bring…we kindly ask for Shenmue , Skies of Arcadia , Soul Calibur , one of the NFL 2K games, and maybe Seaman . Any other requests?
We'll let you know when Sega officially unveils Dreamcast games headed for the PS3/360 in the future.
