If there's one game that really might benefit from PlayStation Move compatibility, it's Heavy Rain .
Although fans of Quantic Dream's masterpiece weren't too happy to learn the team canceled most of the intended downloadable content (we only got Madison's "The Taxidermist" episode; we were supposed to get a new episode for each of the four main characters), we have to say the Move Edition is looking pretty good. After all, this game is all about immersion and being part of the emotion and drama on screen; it's not really about putting your hands on the controller in a certain way. And the good news is, we'll be able to test out the new version soon; according to the European branch of Amazon , Heavy Rain: Move Edition is slated to ship to stores on October 8. Obviously, if that's the European release date, we might have to alter it a bit for the North American launch, but it should be relatively close. In fact, it might be out not long after Move launches in this country; it'd be a great game to help Move get started on the right foot.
We'll let you know when Sony announces an official date for the Move Edition here in the US. In the meantime, if you haven't played Heavy Rain yet, we don't even know you.

Eh, I'd rather have more of the DLC than a move version, besides, some of the move motions seem…just not…I don't know how to explain it, accurate with what's going on in the screen.
I wish that they kept their word and put out the DLC that was promised. I really like this game, it's just sad I've already stomped it into the ground and the lack of rain is all that remains.

Early reports indicate the patch will release the same day and while I'm not in a massive hurry to buy Move, I do plan to get it at some point and HR will be the first game I play.
I actually don't mind so much that they canceled the DLC except that it sucks to douche out on people who were counting on it. But you know, I'd rather have the whole team working on Horizon so we can experience its awesomeness asap.
… I wonder if they plan to alter the adult scene with Madison for optimum Move potential, heh.
I will eventually get Rain that falls Heavily… but that will be next year, once I have F1 2010, GT5, Killzone 3, Mass Effect 2 etc…
Q!

Heavy Rain was going to be the first game I planned on playing with Move. I guess I'll be playing other release titles while I wait on it. I'm glad that wait won't be very long.
So, you guys haven't got PSMove yet? That's interesting… Sony mustn't like motion controls in America… have you even got Eyepet yet? Eh, if I do end up getting a Move, this will definitely be a contributing factor to that decision. Heavy Rain is 'da bomb'.
Also, according to Wikipedia, the Heavy Rain Chronicles haven't actually been cancelled, just put on hold until the Move Edition is finished. Makes me HAPPY!
Peace.
Sony made the US wait on Eyepet for the September release of Move. You already have the option to buy Move where you live?
I read something also that said there was a misunderstanding and that the DLC wasn't cancelled.

No Move, Eyepet will release alongside Move here in the US. Some international sites have their Move reviews up, but I only care bout what PSXE has to say.
Oh no, my mistake. Hasn't been released yet, just sites doing their reviews and whatnot before release to get people amped… I need to research before talking…
But damn, we've had Eyepet for almost a year now…
Peace.
"So, you guys haven't got PSMove yet? That's interesting… Sony mustn't like motion controls in America…"
That's not a mistake; that is an opinion. Why would you think Sony doesn't like motion controls for the U.S. because it isn't out here yet? Sony is going for a near simultaneous U.S./Europe release.
Don't offer an opinion and then back off of it by saying you mispoke. You didn't make a mistake. You offered an ignorant opinion. Period!
it is?
thats not what IGN said they said its a utter mess!
they have trouble performing any of the simplest tasks such as opening a door.
its releasing december 7 according to JBHIFI and game.
Dude, did you even read the stuff at IGN? He said that the way in which the developers utilized Move sometimes resulted in that perfect 1:1 comparison and sometimes there was a bit of lag. AND the guy said that he at first had a little trouble opening doors with HR because pushing the controller forward or pulling it back was the task and it could be a touchy one. I can tell you even the regular controls are touchy depending on how new your dualshock is.
He also said it was something that once you got used to, wasn't a problem. Not to mention this is an imcomplete build. Nobody said it was a mess.
@World,
Pay Mr. Negativity no mind.
If and when I play Heavy Rain, I'm using my DS3. That's just the way I roll.
IF? you sir have already failed.
I was waiting for Move before getting HR, but I think the internet has spoilt it for me.
This could be a spoiler if anyone cares to answer my question ***Did the fat guy in the demo do it?*** Please say no.
