The Devil May Cry series has always been one of our favorites, which is why we've been disappointed in the lack of any real confirmation for DMC5.
Earlier rumored to be in development at Heavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory, we always questioned that idea considering the size of that studio combined with the fact that they've been working on Enslaved: Odyssey to the West . On the other hand, Capcom has been farming out a lot of projects this generation and Ninja Theory seems like a good choice for Dante's new home. But now, the latter possibility may be null and void, as one source claims to have seen a "highly classified file" at this past week's GamesCom event, and it included info on Devil May Cry 5 . Apparently, it's not in the works at Ninja Theory, but once again being developed internally at Capcom and better still, they plan to unveil it at the Tokyo Game Show next month. If this is true, DMC5 suddenly rocketed to the top of our most anticipated title of TGS 2010; we've been waiting and waiting and waiting …we got DMC4 a long time ago, damnit!
If Dante is all set and ready to come back, we'll be plenty excited. Just use the same team that did the last one, and there shouldn't be any complaints.
Oh yeah, forgot about that one.
There's always "God of Something Else" with Kratos' brother.
I was kinda hoping his brother would be a boss in GoW3, but eh, I can't have everything. At least they can make another God of War game focusing on him.
Well, technically, at least one of his brothers was a boss.. *coughherculescough*
@LegendaryWolfeh
i literally hate u , i just started playing this game :@
I sort of expected him to show up before I even played it.
Hey I just coughed, no idea what you're talking about. 😮
I was actually more excited when I thought there would be some western influence on this game. Now, since they think it's being done by the same team as the last game, I don't really know what to think. DMC4 was absolutely horrible IMO and they cut soooo many corners during development. Maybe….juuuuuust maybe, they can bring so magic like they do with every odd numbered game. Here's hoping. *fingers crossed*
Hope it has a better story and characters than DMC4.
More like DMC3!
Exactly,
DMC3se (thanks 2 playable Vergil) > DMC3 > DMC1 > DMC4 > DMC2
I'm still pissed that DMC4 won't f*cking save properly. Waste of goddamn money. F*cking ripoff Capcom b*tchass motherf*ckers.
Dude, I never had the problem. Was there a patch, or maybe the problem was particular to some people? Perhaps there's a solution on some DMC forums?
I've never found a fix, and the losers at Crapcom never issued a patch. I liked that game too. It's still on my shelf, uselessly taking up space.
Capcom are the worst when it comes to customer service too. Have you tried contacting them?
Nope, I hate all customer service lines so I never call em. Isn't worth the hassle unless hundreds of dollars are at stake.
Weird, never had that problem myself.
I think some people got faulty discs. No wonder I got it so cheap. And I can hardly sell it off to some other sucker since I didn't get a proper case.
I once saw your case in the forum, it's ugly.
Or was it when it's still up for sale?

yeah thats the gay case, I think I might throw that game away. Or discus the disc at some xbot.
Looks like you gotta play it in one setting. Break out the Gamer Grub and the Code Red.
Bring back Dante as the main character! The half you play with him on DMC4 was the best part of the game, methinks. Gunslinger style FTW. 🙂
I can not wait to play DMC4, DMC3 is the toughest game i played in my life and i played in normal, it took me a month and a half to finish the game.

Eh, I'll probably give it a rent. If it's good, I'll buy it, but probably not. The fourth really didn't do it for me and the cancellation of Dance of Sparda hit me too hard to want to support Capcom too heavily. Here's hoping that it can provide us with a good number of different levels. Speaking of which, I'm just thinking back to GoWIII, there was a little bit of backtracking in that too wasn't there?
Peace.
yeah, GOW has always had some backtracking, but it was only poorly used in III, not to mention the bad uninteresting backdrops.
I pirated a copy of DMC4 for the 360 but I never play it.
My cousin wanted his 360 back =(
Shame on you, trying to borrow your cousin's Xbox.
One thing I hate a rumors…there is always somebody who claims to know something, but eventually you find the rumor even is fake..it kinda like how someone confirmed MGS4 for the 360.
As for the rumor itself, I question the fact thought given the fact E3 would've been been a much better place. Then you have someone actually from Capcom stating they'll be showing new stuff next year instead of this year.
meh!
as much as i love DMC.
1 capcom has sold out this gen, there games are no where near as good as they use to be!
2 there has been so many rumors regarding this, and even NT working on it ive lost all interest in it!
DMC5 IS Multiplatform = total crap.like 4.
As long as it's NOTHING like DMC4. DMC4 sucked in comparison to 1 and 3. It was stupid when they made Nero the main character, he sucked ass. The only thing that made him cool is because it seems they based the game itself around his arm, which is the letdown.
i wonder if Capcom are gonna be looking at platinum games and trying to out do them. I loved DMC4 that is until bayonetta came along and raised the bar. So i wonder if Capcom are gonna try and out do that. I hope so. netherless i'm dead excited that our old friend Dante will be making a return.
Devil May Cry 4, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, God of War 3, along with Bayonetta and Dante's Inferno are the most stylish action games this gen. I love all of them.
This is one great news!
now my most wanted upcoming games include:
Castlevania lords of shadow
The Last Guardian
DMC5
MGS Rising
FFv13
