TGS 2007 To Receive One More Day

While the U.S. is continually shuffling and canceling prospective game shows in the U.S., Japan is taking advantage of record high attendance numbers in 2006 by expanding their Tokyo Game Show to four days.

Japan's Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association has officially announced the schedule for the '07 show, and it runs from September 20 through September 23. Three days clearly just wasn't enough, but unfortunately, that extra day won't be for game demos (it's not for sneak peaks at awesome stuff like Gran Turismo HD , pictured above) and booth babes; it'll be for "business purposes only." The first day is traditionally for industry members only, and now they're adding another day to that, so this extra time won't benefit the general public.

However, those in charge say the reason for that extra day is to make TGS into "more of an international trade show," which can only help. At this point, we don't even know when – or if – we'll get a show, so the biggest gaming event on earth is now the Tokyo Game Show.
