Ben-DutkaObviously, the biggest news of the day is Mass Effect 2 coming to the PS3 , but other things have been happening at GamesCom 2010 today.
For instance, Dragon Age II has been dated for March 8, 2011, and EA has revealed the upcoming special editions for Crysis 2 . The Limited Edition will actually be the same price as the standard edition…so like, doesn't that mean the standard is the Limited? Okay, we're a little confused on that, but either way, the "Limited Edition" features bonus experience points for the multiplayer mode, a SCAR Hologram Decoy that lets players project an image of themselves, a SCAR Weapon Skin in camo, and an in-game Platinum Dog Tag. So if that's the "regular" one, the Nano Edition must be the "special" one: it'll include the Limited Edition plus a steel case, an 11" statue of the main character on a NYC taxi, and an art book. The whole thing will be packaged inside a backpack that looks a lot like the Nanosuit. The latter will cost $149.99 so get ready to shell out the bucks…maybe you'll just be better off with the standard/Limited Edition for $60. But it's up to you.
Also, EA announced a closed beta will be held exclusively on the Xbox 360. Well, it's only fair; EA gave PS3 owners the exclusive rights to the Medal of Honor beta, remember?

So another over priced edition with cheap plastic gimmicky items that will only be a disappointment when you receive them and realize how pathetic they are.
If people keep buying that crap, they will keep selling it!
I think I'll pass on this special edition. Then again I'll probaly pass on the game too. Also cue _______ with never ending buffet of praise.

Read the multiplayer is MW with nanosuits. I think they should have waited for part three before pulling out the "prestige edition" though, as I'm not entirely convinced this is going to be a hot seller on the consoles.
Why haven't you talked about R3 and Ratchet co-op? Either way this is gonna be another dozy of a year why 2011? Why taunt me so?
Now for a real comment. Even though they gave Sony the exclusive TIMED beta, wasn't that due to the fact that Sony has some kind of partnership with them. If anything, they should respect their loyal fans who actually PLAYED the game and give the betas for the PC. I mean, for all intense and purposes, they basically shafted the PC community. We STILL haven't seen what it'll look like for the PC which raises concerns and now the beta? Man that totally sucks. People wanna know if C2 will even RUN on their rig. Everyone in the world already knows how the first one went. For crying out loud, we're just NOW starting to play Crysis on enthusiast setting with barely any lag. It would be smart on their part if they start pushing the PC platform as well. I due understand they're at least trying to break even hence all three platforms…but honestly with that many possible customers, what's to worry about? PUSH THE PC VERSION MORE!

For Anyone that doesn't know yet, There has been a reveal of a new game coming for playstation. So for anyone that doesn't want to know yet and find out later, 'DON'T READ THIS COMMENT' because of the spoiler.
At Gamescom today, Sony of course had their press conference and Insomniac Games came up on stage showing a new game called Rachet and Clank: All 4 One(I think that's how they put it) AND they showed basically a teaser trailer of Resistance 3. There is no release date but that's what they showed.
Why do people think Ben wouldn't cover the Insomniac news?
cant wait for crysis 2 hopefully will see a demo a good month or 2 before release.
but onto ME2, what is the point?
what is the point of bringing ME2 over to the ps3 without the original?
how are people going to understand whats going on?
its like playing MGS4 without playing any of the others your not going to have any clue what the hells going on!
plus if they release ME3 on the ps3 thats going to make no sense either because your choices from 1 and 2 shape what happens in 3.
its like watching the godfather 3 without watching the earlier 2.

Crysis 1 isn't coming to PS3… so your hypocrisy is amusing…
Literally no other game series could cause the same level of confusion as MGS4 without the previous installments would. Really, there's just nothing.
