You know, it isn't just Kotaku. I'm not even necessarily accusing them of being anti-anything (but if they're not, an immensely lazy and not-so-bright individual posted that screwed-up video as news). Either way, it's hardly the only source that has made vain attempts to throw Gran Turismo 5 under the bus.
It's not a new happenstance to see headlines from sources trying to be "different," that attack great – or soon-to-be-great – games. It's one of the downsides of Internet "journalism" that just won't go away; attention-getting headlines, regardless of the content of the article, nets big traffic. Therefore, writing something against the grain – i.e., "5 Reasons Why God of War III sucks," or some such nonsense – is very attractive. But at least in those cases, even in regards to titles that aren't available yet, there's some sort of attack on the game's merits; it's gameplay, graphics, presentation, story, or whatever. …has anyone noticed that although it appears to be hip to hate on GT5 these days, none of the naysayers ever actually have anything to say ? Besides, "it's going to suck because I say so"…? Always a convincing and intelligent argument.
It's because, and I really hate to inform them, they have nothing to say. You can post all the doctored videos you want, or complain about the "only 200 Premium cars" issue, or this or that. It really won't matter. We all know very well that Polyphony will produce a fantastic game, and one that has a darn good chance of becoming the best racing simulator available. It's a guaranteed Game of the Year nominee and while we can't say it'll be the "best ever" until we play, and we know it absolutely must deliver due to all the hype, we can say it'll be amazing. We can say that because we know 2+2=4. We can say that because the sun is hot. We can say it because every last human on earth who has played it says it's unbelievable. So complain, bi***, whine, and moan, all you want…ain't gonna change nothin'. Sorry.
So save your collective attention-whoring breaths.

I just think these tools are angry because their predictions that the PS3 would fail and all it's exclusives would come to Xbox is obviously not coming true.
They so want our exclusives but are too panzy to man up and buy a PS3 because they have spent most of this generation bad mouthing the best console on the market. Now they are eating their words.
My ONLY gripe… Well ok, two. Is interior for premium cars only? Realisticly, as playing around with 3d modeling myself, I know that disc space and time constraints wouldn't allow 1000+ masterpieces to exist… So, I can see that standpoint. I want a Ford Probe in this game. I own one. I love driving it. Its a great car in my opinion, and I have yet to see one in a racing game… Anyone remember GT:TT demo? I loved that. I had FUN playing that. I want more. I cannot wait for November 2nd. First day no doubt purchase for me.
I do have a question.. What kind of customization and performance can we do? Anyone know or any rumors floating?
Oh yes it wheeeeel be amazing! I've just stopped arguing about it completely. Just waiting.
I just wish they would release it already. Ben, do you know if they've actually set a firm release date? I'm hoping it releases for this years holiday season.
(no disrepect yomega…..but Ford Probe??? seriously dude? That's a scary thought! lol)
