Black Rock Reveals Impending DLC For Split/Second

It's one of the more polished and entertaining racers of the year, and you'll soon have more incentive to pop it back in.

According to Black Rock's official Facebook page for Split/Second , there are three DLC packs coming down the pike soon. The first includes new liveries to "really make your turbo-powered Elite vehicles stand out from the rest of the crowd," the second tosses in an "entirely new vehicle" (the High Octane Supercar Pack), and the third is a special thank you to the fans: a free special edition based on the original Ryback Cyclone. They didn't give us any specific release dates for these packs, but all of them will be up on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace "in the next couple of weeks." Oh, and there's one "major DLC pack" boasting an all-new environment, which will be ready to go next month. If you're more of a portable gamer, the PSP version of this hot racer will launch for the holidays, and it should be a solid piece of speedy handheld entertainment.

Black Rock's impressive title is well worth a whirl if you're looking for a fast-paced, relatively unique racing experience.

Meh, I wasn't that fond of the original release and I have a feeling the freebie will be free for a reason and the other dlc will probly be over priced.

Sweet. I love free DLC. Hopefully the new environment provides some cool thrills.

i was really impressed with this game, it looked generic and boring i thought it would get tiresome after a while but its actually quite fun!
the balance of the cars is what really brings this title out, for some reason the drifting just feels so natural compared to other games.
the drifting in MNR i thought was really good, but this blows it out of the water!

I will be getting all of the DLC. This game was fun and highly addictive. Great news and it looks like I'll be getting the PSP version too.

Im near the end of the campaign and still cant decide if I enjoy it or not, I find it frustrating and enjoyable in equal measures but I dont think its a game I could recommend to people. Theres loads of fun to be had but I found there is a lot of restarts and memorising the scripted demolitions / explosions etc. If thats your thing you could get some fun out of it
