Sony won't say anything. Guerrilla remains mute. But at this point, the cat is pretty well out of the bag.
Several sources are saying the Killzone 3 beta test will indeed become a reality very soon, although we're still a little hazy on whether or not it'll be open to the gaming public. New multiplayer details for the hotly anticipated shooter will be released at this month's GamesCom event, and you might just see the beta shortly thereafter. Now, as some readers have informed us, the KZ2 Community Website has listed the Killzone 3 beta website, which can already be viewed here . You can try to put in your PSN username and password but it won't work; it just says the info is invalid, but that's obviously temporary. Now, that certainly looks like it'll be public to us; perhaps it's only a matter of weeks before we hear about the official announcement. If you don't remember, the beta for KZ2 kicked off in early October of 2008. We just can't wait to get our hands on this one, as it's definitely high on our radar.
Early 2011 is looking chock full already, what with KZ3, Dead Space 2 , Dragon Age II and others looking to assault your wallet not long after the holidays.

I think some random guy made the website, chances it will only be for plus members.
I gotta agree with you there. I honestly hope all PS3 Beta tests are via PS Plus.
Yes, Im not a PS+ member but i may be. and PS+ defo deserves it
closed beta tests are done privatly through the offical beta testers…..they wont realese private betas the ps+ members…..though usually after they have public betas
A random guy can't have made the website because Guerrilla owns the domain
Who cares bout the beta!!!
All I know is that I'm buying this no matter what!!
I'm still hoping the beta allows you to use move so we can try out both control set ups and determine how we feel about each method.
Even if we can't try move in the beta, I'd still welcome the chance to play it.
This will only go to Plus members.
Which would be the incentive to get it. For me I really like what the plus offers, and would love to have some of the stuff it offers at those prices. The beta would be my last reason to get it.
But in all honesty that won't happen. Sony knows KZ3 will be too big of a game for PS3 owners, they wont strip those without plus of getting in the beta… Would they? Nah!

are you a plus member yet? I really want to be. i just need to buy a ps3 again.
I'm not a plus member, I agree it is worth it, but not to me since I've only gotten 2 PS1 classics, I never get the PSN games, and I can wait for full games so I don't need betas. They are just a neat extra now and then.
I agree with you on that world.. I dont care for betas really either!
The entire end of 2010 and most of 2011 are sounding like very busy months for avid gamers. Come October, I'll be praying for another blizzard to get some time off to play them all. Bring on Fallout, Dragon Age 2, LBP2 and Rage!
Apparently from someone i know from the forums it will be available to Playstation Plus subscribers and Beta Testers only.
I heard it would be an open beta. So we'll see I guess.
I dont really care for Betas. Its great that companies use it for testing purposes. But I think too many people think they are playing a demo, when they are clearly playing something that needs and will get a whole lot more polishing.
So im not drooling to play the beta. But I can't wait to get my hands on the final copy of KZ3!
I found this out on the Killzone forums.People seem to think that if you were in the first Beta you are guaranteed a spot in the K3 beta. On your PS3 go to Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List.
On my list there is something named Killzone 2 community website. After clicking on this tab I get "Killzone 3 Beta Website"
"Early 2011 is looking chock full already, what with KZ3, Dead Space 2, Dragon Age II and others looking to assault your wallet not long after the holidays."
Very very true, as between January and March, I already have Killzone 3, Dragon Age II, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution begging for my wallet!! T.T
Also, if the beta does exist, and it's an open beta, I'm in! Colour me stoked if it turns out to be the case!

it does not give me a invalid message, it just reloads the page whenever i try to submit my info.
i read the new OPMAU mag today, and apparently assassins creed brotherhood beta will be the first beta to coincide with PSN+
so in other words if your a + subscriber your guaranteed entry into the beta, so id say this will be another one to add to the list.
ill be shocked if we dont hear anything about the KZ3 beta at gamescom, they may not announce a date but they certainly will confirm a public beta.
remember GG is a german company, and gamescom just happens to be in germany, so expect some big announcements from them!
im really hoping gamescom is where sony lets out there big guns, shows us heaps of new titles we never saw before.
because, well to be honest there E3 press release was PATHETIC!
i mean being out showed by ninty, HOW EMBARRASSING!
thats like being beaten by a girl in a drag race for crying out loud!
i swear to god if sony dont announce syphon filter 5 for the ps3 at gamescom.
dutch
lol
Regardless, the massive improvements are enticing. The new melee combat system looks like fun to execute, and especially when you get to use the Move Controls with it. I would love to be in the Beta to give Killzone 3 a go, it is shaping up to be another Top Tier FPS of 2011, along side Dues Ex 3.
MoH beta kinda ruined it for me in regards to betas. The glitches get on my nerves. Now a demo is a different story. I'll get on a demo cuz it's, for the most part, finished. Here's to hoping that it's not as bad as MoH beta.
I should probably pony up for a plus membership to improve my chances of getting into this beta.
