Ben-DutkaWhispers of the Killzone 3 beta continues, but Sony still isn't willing to talk about it.
A few days ago, a screenshot of a PSN friend evidently playing Killzone 3 made the Internet rounds , although most attributed it to the European beta rooms. Now, while they still can't say if the beta test will be available to the public, it seems that in addition to the screenshot, there's a real-life video . Yeah, well, okay. A little lame but we get the point. As for Sony's response, it's the standard, "we don't comment on rumors or speculation," which is sort of akin to the policy of not negotiating with terrorists. And because it's the default policy, you really can't read anything into it; you can't just say, "oh, a 'no comment' reply is as good as an admission." Nah, not from Sony. It's just what they say. Anyway, we've heard Guerrilla will show off multiplayer for Killzone 3 at GamesCom later this month, and of course, this beta will be a multiplayer test, so…
We just try to put the pieces together in a reasonable and logical fashion. Most big FPSs have betas, most kick in 4-6 months before the game releases, and KZ3 is set for February. So, perhaps we'll get a public beta in September or October…? We'll have to wait and see.

I'd be really interested in playing the beta for KZ3, especially if the beta allowed the use of playstation move.
If I don't have PS+ when the beta arrives and + is a requirement, that's when I'll pick it up. I plan to get it at some point, but I want my first month to have a bunch of stuff I really want.
I agree. I think plus is an awesome feature. I think it has tons of great stuff. But I havn't bought it yet because I dont even buy a month what it costs a month for plus (yeah its yearly but divided into months) in extra content from the store. So Im kind of holding out until I see something that I cant live with out like a KZ3 beta perhaps. At that point Consider me a plus member, cus I really do think its great!

It'll be hard to top the number of people who tried out the Halo Reach Beta, but it is a great way for the developer to communicate directly with the gamer and get feedback on what's good and what needs fixing.
I should get round to finishing Killzone 2 though, only just finished Heavenly Sword. Wow, I'm so far behind. At least I've finished 70% of Red Dead Redemption, the whole story plus most side missions.
Killzone 3. The one game that will get me off of MAG.
If the beta is in 3D, my interest in the beta will be high. Lack of 3D content I suppose! KZ3 will be my first KZ game because of 3D.

im positive they will have a beta, afterall KZ2 did have a beta in october 2008 so october 2010 sounds just about right for a KZ3 beta.
hopefully that PSN+ subscription will be finally worth something, since the so called game trials are still nowhere to be found!
im pretty sure there will be a public beta at some point but not for a while i'd imagine

I want 2 play KZ3 beta without Playstation Plus…I hope Fireplanet gets a beta keys..
I really don't care about the beta. I usually play betas if i'm on the fence about a game, but I know Killzone 3 will be awesome, so why spend online in the beta when I can spend online in the real game???
