Transformers: War for Cybertron turned out to be a darn fun game, which is why you might see a sequel.
A new job listing for a level designer at High Moon Studios might indicate that a follow-up to War for Cybertron is already in the works. It doesn't say anything about the project, although as Now Gamer points out, the new game uses the Unreal engine, as did Transformers . Of course, a whole lot of titles these days use the Unreal engine so that isn't exactly spilling the beans. However, it should be noted that developer High Moon and Transformers license holder Hasbro have recently said they're "in talks with Activision" concerning an expansion of the franchise into more pieces of interactive entertainment. Besides, we're willing to bet the latest effort sold relatively well thanks to solid review scores and good word of mouth; fortunately for many designers in this industry, if they make something worth playing, they're often rewarded. And at this rate, we're willing to have high hopes for anything High Moon does.
If you haven't tried War for Cybertron yet and you're suffering from the summer drought, you really ought to give it a shot. It might surprise you.

its actually pretty good, although when i tried the multiplayer it seemed to be very laggy. i enjoyed the campaigns though and i'm glad they are making a sequel.
the only problem i had is that i refuse to buy the game new and so i only rented it as i have mega issues with activision and now only buy used activision games. preferably ones with out dlc too.
With Activision's insistence I'm sure. We all know how they like to flood the market with any mildly successful franchise they have.
im sure the price will drop soon. Probably when september hits with all the hot titles. Theyll need to lower the price to sell it.
I hope the transformer games are better than the movies
War for Cybertron is.
War for Cybertron has no relation to the movies. The game actually got good reviews. I plan on getting it but only when the price drops or i find it used. I don't like Transformers enough to give Activision my money. 🙂
i think toys r us is having a buy 1 get 1 50% off sale. you can buy modnation and war for cybertron. target has a buy 2 games 39.99 and up and get a $20 giftcard. i always check slickdeals . net and cheapassgamers for deals.

Not really all that interested. Unless the next games can somehow reach a 9 or higher I will not be interested in picking it up. The movies were alright, but a game? I dnt know I guess it's just not my style.
dont compare this game to any of the movies. this is a great game. its worth the purchase but if you still skeptical just borrow it from gamestop, you got nothing to loose. i'm planning to do that with vanquish and metroid other M.
I'm definitely planning on trying the first one and from what I've heard it would really make sense for them to make a sequel.
Lame, give me Darkwatch 2 already!
Was darkwatch any good? Never played it.
you dont want to give money to activision? you're unsure of the game? solution: borrow it at gamestop, you wont loose anything. thats what i did. i borrowed the game and returned it 2 days later. Its a good alternative when i have game i'm not sure i want. I did the same thing for prince of persia forgotten sands. platinumed it in about 10 hours, returned it the next day. combat was way too slow in my opinion.
anyway, transformers was a great game. i just didnt have money to spare on other games than my day 1 purchases. Theres 1 thing the game needed though, a cover system. i dont mind the breakable cover but at least let us have a cover system. i played it on the hardest mode and the last boss on each side of the campaign can kill you with one attack. i got pissed because i went as far as almost beating them but i would make a small mistake and it was over. i got to start over and chip his life little by little.
Rip off Gamestop and Activision in one fell swoop. You're a genius my man!
Gamestop doesn't take returns, just exchanges for the same game.
they do. just buy the used game return it within 7 days for full refund. its their policy, if you dont like the game return it within 7 days to get your money back. i did that with war for cybertron, prince of persia, and singularity. usually the used game becomes available within a week of release. plus you can buy the game at any gamestop and return it to one thats closer to where you live.
another loop hole is take advantage of their trade in value promotions like extra money if you trade multiple games. tell them to put it in a gift card since they would give you less if you choose cash trade in. buy a used game that uses up everything in that gift card. return the game for cash. you'll end up with the full trade value in cash. i did that when i traded in 3 games that added up to about 50 bucks store credit, got war for cybertron, returned it to get the 50 back in cash.

The game is great ,but the online is laggy and u always got connection lost message even if u got the best connection in the world u keep receiving this message.
I hope they fix this asap because i really enjoy the game
Played this game a bit at the Best Buy display. Unfortunately it was the brokebox version but I still got an idea of what to expect. I'll grab it one day.
cover system wouldve made it better. i mean i know they're giant robots but some cover mechanics wouldve been great especially on the harder difficulty.
id be surprised if they did not do a sequel to it, considering antivision love milking the sh*t out of everything and it was quite successful!
