Nice. The Tron costume looks pretty spiffy. This looks like a collector's edition that would be worth getting.

Everyone get's a Gold Box and the items are different everyday. If you go to your "Deals" for the day, look below the general selection and you will see items that were specifically pulled for you based on your search and purchase history.

Quite a bit to purchase, so LBP2 may have to wait a while.
I have LBP1, but don't play it much…. found the controls a little weary and laggy. So difficult to be precise with sack boy… but it is still a neat experience…
I am sure LBP2 will be good… wait to read the review right here…

I love the game otherwise, and the physics are incredibly realistic (the perceived lag is just the build up of momentum), but, yes, the into/out-of-screen jumping is a bit messy. I hope they fix it or remove it.
And just for the skins, the collector's addition doesn't seem worth the additional $20+. But LBP2 will be a definite purchase.

I really liked the first one a lot, but there are so many games coming out I can't afford them all. How do you choose between Gran turismo 5 and LBP2?

I'm probably on the minority of those that missed out on the first (sorry!), but I'm definitely getting the collector's edition day 1; I could definitely use those bookends.
I don't understand how people can "miss" a game; it's not like they don't sell the game anymore.
Oh, and it's now a lot cheaper to buy than when it was released.
On topic: I never buy collector's editions of games (aside from two steel-book versions which I got for regular price), but plush Sackboy = temptation.
edit: Judging from the responses here, they should just cancel the regular edition.

Sony just wants my money and I don't have enough to give them as I'd like to! I want the 7" Sackboy! The game ends sound cool too. Too many good games coming out that time of year though…

Play.com has had official sackboy plushies listed for almost a year now with the release date ALWAYS being pushed back, but the annoying part is, they will have a release date, then THE DAY BEFORE said release date they will put it back a few weeks, and this has been going on since March. I may just cancel my pre-order now and get the cllectors edition for LBP2
Yeah, I've had the plushie pre-ordered for a LONG time too. I just cancelled it and pre-ordered the CE for LBP2 instead.

Well, I WAS planning on holding off for a while on LBP2. However, after seeing that Collector's Edition and knowing that my girlfriend has wanted a Sackboy plushie forever now, this has now become a Day 1 purchase (as if I can afford that). I just pre-ordered the CE off Amazon with free shipping. Not too shabby.
Oh, and by the way, apparently the Collector's Edition is extremely limited, so if you want it, you better jump on the pre-order train pretty quick!
I agree with Q on the controls being laggy but this with move is going to be downright awesome!!! I can't wait. It's weird, they added move support to Tiger a couple days ago. Isn't even out yet. LOL.

well, my day 1 purchases this year just grew by 1 game. now its medal of honor limited edition and littlebigplanet 2 collectors edition. looks like moves gonna have to wait. that is until i can find a job. for now, i'll be borrowing everything else at gamestop.

2 i know they have the "make your game" feature for the MP, but i hope the SP is all 100% 2D platforming.
that is what LBP is for, that is what LBP is famous for, so thats all LBP should have!
if i want a RTS game i wont buy LBP, if i want a RPG game i wont buy LBP, if i want a action game i wont buy LBP, if i want a platformer i will buy LBP.
LBP is a platformer so that is how it should stay, you dont see sony SA turning GOW into a RTS, or insomniac turning R&C into a stealth game!
Hmm, I like your examples, but you missed a few. I see M$ turning Halo into an RTS, Kojima turning MGS into a hack and slash and Eidix turning Front Mission into a third-person shooter. Just because a franchise starts off in one direction doesn't mean it can't change directions, especially considering that at its base LBP will still be a platformer. It will merely be expanded to incorporate the wildest dreams of the people that spent weeks slaving over levels trying to give the community a new experience.
By the way, those life points were checkpoints. Just because they only gave you three lives to play with is no reason to compain. It's standard fare with old-school platformers such as Sonic and Mario.
Quit complaining about these minor BS things and enjoy for the game for what it is, and what it will be.

as i said before if i want to play a RPG i will buy a RPG, if i want a action game i will buy a action game.
its really disappointing when you see games change style like splinter cell conviction.
i was a massive splinter cell fan, i love hardcore stealth games thats why i was so pissed when i found out it had turned into the other million and one mindless shooters out there!
games should not change genre, because that is misleading the buyer.
if you go out and buy a GOW game your expecting it to be like GOW 1,2,3, CoO no?

we have so little platformers out there, we have even fewer 2D platformers out there i could literally count them on one hand!
so the last thing i want is to see one of my favorite genres go from so few to less!
i dont want the 2D platformer genre to go extinct like the survival horror genre has!
