One of last year's most critically acclaimed and popular titles was DJ Hero , which meant a sequel was inevitable.
That sequel is on its way this fall and as of now, they've revealed the massive artist list for the game; it features well over 100 different artists spanning multiple generations in hip-hop and pop, so a great many fans ought to be satisfied. There's LL Cool J, Eminem, Gorillaz, Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, A-Trak, Nelly, Damian Marley, Rihanna, Pussycat Dolls, Young Jeezy, Justice, Warren G, Snow, Puff Daddy and much, much more. They've got more info to come, though, as they will announce the entire song list and the game's complete setlist; the "world's best soundtrack" will boast over 80 original mixes. Last but not least is the exclusive GameStop pre-order bonus- if you want to drop your deposit on the DJ Hero 2 bundle, you'll receive a turntable controller bag from Puma. Fans of the original will most certainly want to sign on for the sequel, which is a great alternative option for those who want to play a music/rhythm game, but prefer hip-hop over rock ( Guitar Hero , Rock Band ).
Keep checking back at the site linked above to see when they release the full song and set lists.
Related Game(s): DJ Hero 2
In the review for DJ Hero, Arnold mentioned a few weaknesses concerning the conroller. Anybody know if they made any improvements to the controller this time around? I think the crossfader didn't catch when it hit the middle, and it was very easy to pass over the middle if you were playing a difficult song.
I'm not too interested in this game, but i know a few of my family and friends are, and they get all their gaming info from me.
I am to my family what Ben is to us.
I will never understand the appeal of this game, to me it's even more ridiculous than guitar hero.
You have to like this music to understand – a lifestyle of dancing and just hitting up parties. It also helps being a teenager, plus I finally learned to appreciate this stuff and I love it. My friend is going into DJing (used to play bass) and he's going to be sick.
Don't get me wrong, I grew up on classical, blues and Motown. It was my choice, and they influenced me big time.
Back to your post: True that a guitar peripheral was enough but a DJ turn-table makes more sense to me in this genre. Since it's way more electronic. Sure they should just get real turn-tables and get proper practice scratching. Like playing acoustic guitar compared to Guitar Hero (portability).
I loved the 1st game…I never bough it tho but played it ovr a friends house..Ima get it the 2nd one since it got more artist/improvements…
Imma definitely gettin this…the first one was fun as hell, but my only complaint was that they are too damn slow releasing downloadable songs. They support guitar hero so good, you'd think dj hero would get the same treatment. But to this day only about 5 track packs have come out (anyone else see a double standard?). Tighten up activision.
Hey PS3 Wizard,
Long time, no hear, I was wondering what happened to ya.
Glad to see you still kicking it over here!
Hey, thanks bikerSaint. I've been checking in on the PSX pretty much everyday. I just view the mobile version when I do, so I don't really get to see the comments until Ben and Arnold started the comment beta.
Its good to see a lot of you long time users are still on here.
I'll wait 6 months untill it drops to £35 ;).
No.
