But now, Activision has officially announced James Bond 007: Blood Stone , an entirely original Bond adventure from screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. Currently in development for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, the game features a third-person action experience that will include all sorts of gameplay elements in a variety of exotic locales. Said David Pokress, Activision Publishing Head of Marketing for Licensed Properties:
"James Bond 007: Blood Stone captures the cinematic intensity of a Bond film by immersing players in an intriguing conspiracy that will require them to think and act like James Bond. In addition, the game will feature a diverse array of multi-player modes and debut strategic objective-based gameplay that will allow Xbox 360, PS3 and PC players to battle as teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales."
Both Daniel Craig and Judy Dench will be lending their voices to the game and of course, every Bond production needs a girl; for Blood Stone , it's fittingly another "stone:" Joss Stone. Cover-based firefights, lethal hand-to-hand, driving mechanics, high-tech gadgetry and weapons, environments ranging from Athens to Istanbul to Monaco to Bangkok…it's all here.
We'll also get a 16-player online multiplayer mode and for the record, the game is being developed by Bizarre Creations, a racing veteran who has brought you Blur and the Project Gotham series. Blood Stone has a good shot of being decent, if only because it isn't based on any one particular movie. Transformers: War for Cybertron wasn't, either, and that turned out really well. So here's hoping!

woah!! that looks fun as hell!! a full-fledged game with it's own unique story and hollywood-esque scenes… shooting, driving, gadgets, and real life locations… the only thing it's missing is a martini making mini-game, lol…

You know, if you think about it. James Bond would make the perfect backdrop for an Uncharted-like action adventure game, not just a shooter. It's a pity it's Activision, but this has the potential to turn out to be pretty darned good. Of course it also has the potential to fizzle at launch. At least it'll end the GoldenEye on Nintendo domination of Bond.
I agree big time. That would be near perfect.
I'll be keeping an eye on this game. Looks pretty good.
I've never understood why Bond games are shooters (especially FPSs). Bond rarely shoots anyone. I guess it's the legacy of GoldenEye.
Everything Or Nothing was the closest to a "real" Bond game I've seen, with varied game play, but even it was gun happy.

A Bond game needs story, puzzles stealth, gadgets and action, not just shooting.
exactly dude imagine a bond game which is a bit like uncharted u know with all those epic moments it would be brilliant!
Nice footage but I doupt I will be picking it up.
Hope this one turns out ok. Looking forward to the new Goldeneye remake as well. Also hoping the new movie gets filming underway again since it's on hold due to money problems 🙁

Very interesting. Ill get this game used.
So I guess the rumor about the next Bond game being a complete racing game wasn't real. Thank God.
I hope they do this right, I just don't have a lot of faith in activision.
I gotta say tho, next to Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig is my least favorite bond. Not the movies necessarily just his portrayal. No one will ever replace Sean Connery.
Who dares to down thumb the praise for Sean Connery, at least fess up to it.
Sean Connery rules and you know it.
Connery is the best bond, but Craig doesnt suck either. He's pretty good.

It better not suck. I'm tired of crappy Bond games. I love the movies, though. They keep getting better. But Sean Connery is still the best of all.
About flip'n time, now lets hope they don't screw this up.
I would of prefered Pierce Broson or Sean Connery but hey Daniel Craig will do.
I think really, games like this that have a high flop rate should forget about online multi-player and focus on the main single player. Leave multi-player to the big ones like UC2, COD and all that. Personally I really don't bother much with the multi-player on games that get less than 8.5 scores. Sure I might try it out, but they never seem to be able to compete with the big ones. That might just be me though, I"m not much of an online guy anyway.
EDIT: Just watched the trailer and it sorta reminds me of that bourne game came out a while ago.

I haven't been excited about any James Bond project for years. For the moment it remains that way, and I believe the same goes for everyone out there.
bit early to judge yet, but by the looks of it there going in the complete opposite direction they should be!
what made bond games so great was the gadgets and stealth gameplay, not the mindless action the movies are famous for!
why does every stealth game now have to be a action game?
MGS4 action.
splinter cell conviction action.
james bond action.
just because horror games have to turn into action games, does not mean stealth games have to follow suit!
