We're really lovin' the look of Dead Space 2 , which is why we'll be interested to hear about this "mystery exclusive" reveal…
Apparently, PSM3 magazine has a special secret concerning Visceral's highly anticipated sequel; this from a page in the magazine that also includes the phrase, "PSM3 braves the Church of Unitology." If you didn't already know, the Church of Unitology is part of Dead Space 2 and although that doesn't really tell us anything, it might be a safe bet to assume that this "mystery reveal" will involve multiplayer. Then again, this might be a serious dud; if we remember correctly, the last time this particular publication teased a "huge announcement" related to Dead Space 2 , we only got the box art. But then again, we might get something pretty darn important. Perhaps it might concern platform-exclusive content for the PlayStation 3 version of the game; you may remember the special edition of Dante's Inferno that was actually the standard edition for the PS3. EA Redwood handled that game but EA is ultimately in charge of both Inferno and Dead Space 2 , so…
Just doing a bit of spitballing based on recent history, that's all. Anybody else have any bright ideas?

Its funny how much I'm starting to fall in love with EA. When at the begining of the ps3's life I was nothing but furious with them.
very glad to have been wrong about em
You weren't really wrong, EA just got the message and made the proper changes. Unlike Activision who continue to do things that weasel money out of people and basically hate their consumers.
Nice to see how they learnt from the error of their ways.
Interesting after E3 how EA is with Sony and Activision is with Microsoft. Very fitting in a way, Activision and Microsoft are all about the money while EA and Sony are all about the games.
I'd say platform specific content for the PS3 sounds reasonable. It seemed to me that EA confirmed such things for the future at Sony's E3 press conference. I liked the original Dead Space a lot but getting something extra in DS2 will certainly solidify it as a must have.
I think your multiplayer hunch is accurate. They'll detail some game mode that's not capture the flag… but is.
It's probably a skin for the multiplayer, that would be badass if it was a Dante skin 🙂
While DS2 is a must buy, what I REALLY want to hear is anything concerning this rumored Jack the Ripper game by Visceral.
Jack the ripper game? You have me intrigued, I have read many books on jack the ripper and I love the story and mystery behind it, do you have any link to any information, even rumored information?
I would appreciate it.
Whatever happened to that Jack the Ripper game? It sounded sort of interesting but I haven't heard anything about it in a long time.

Speaking of PSM3…didn't the claim to have some "exclusivre" ps3 news some time ago? There were rumors saying it was Valkyrie Profile 3 as a PS3 exclusive (due to the feather and
the orange droplet)
Erm… Isn't EA Redwood Shores now Visceral? Or is Dead Space 2 being done by a different dev team altogether? That comment confused me, Ben.
And the DI:Divine Edition was only in the US. Not cool. Also, I don't like the DS2 box art. Feels so uninspired compared to the original.
As for this reveal. I imagine it'll be detailing multiplayer. If it's something important to the single player though, colour me interested. I like EA. They seem to have sided with Sony, like Sega. While Microsoft has Activision and Square-Enix. So it goes.
Peace.
Same here man, I find the cover inappropriate for a horror game.
the reveal is that Dead Space 2 for ps3 will also contain "Dead Space Extraction" that was released for the wii as well as being Move compatible.
I hope not since that was part of sony's conference at e3, that wouldn't be any kind of reveal at all.
I hope it's not multiplayer, I don't think this game needs it and I don't want to find out that the SP suffered so they can squish in multiplayer.
we already got ps3 exclusive content in the special edition revealed at E3.
i had to piss myself laughing as soon as they revealed that!
sony were caught calling M$ pathetic because there constantly getting exclusive DLC.
but than sony go on ahead and do the exact same thing!
i swear to god sony are the worlds biggest hypocrites!!!!!!!!!!
dis the competition for doing something, than go and do the exact same thing a few weeks later.
BRILLIANT!
The difference is that Microsoft pays for timed exclusive DLC that you PAY for.
Sony pays for exclusive DLC that the user gets for free. Examples would include the Joker Challenge Rooms for Batman: Arkham Asylum. Dante's Inferno: Divine Edition. Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition (Which has all of the DLC on the disk unlike the 360 version). And now Dead Space 2 and Metal of Honor.
I think Sony's free exclusive DLC easily trumps the exclusive right to buy 5 crappy maps for $15 a month before others.
how is that different?
there still perusing exclusive DLC which they called M$ pathetic for.
sorry, but whats good for the goose is good for the gander.
Another post with "___________" complaining in it.
Imagine that.
because sony are being hypocrites what am i suppose to do praise them?
You don't have to praise them, but you don't have to be an ass over a very minor detail that really isn't like the way MS does it at all. In other words, stop complaining.
"PSM3 braves the Church of Unitology." – sounds like a gameplay preview or something.
