Ben-DutkaIt will always be one of our most anticipated titles until it arrives, which is why we'll be sure to check out GameTrailers TV on Friday night.
That's when Sucker Punch will debut three solid minutes of gameplay for inFamous 2 and for those lucky enough to have already laid eyes on the debut, it was an immensely satisfying experience. Heck, the footage even has Naughty Dog boss Evan Wells all amped up, and let's not forget his team delivered arguably the most impressive video game of the generation to date in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves . GTTV host Geoff Keighley posted a Twitter update that read: "Just saw the inFamous 2 gameplay clip for this week's GTTV- 3 minutes of all in-game footage. Wow!! Don't miss it." Evan Wells was also wowed by the footage and called it "awesome," which is a good sign; the early feedback is obviously outstanding. And based on our love of the original game, combined with what we saw at E3 – see below – we're plenty excited.
Give us the new ice powers, let us run around an all-new city, keep everything as tight as it was in the first game, and we'll be happy. We can even deal with the overhauled Cole, which won't matter anywhere near as much if the gameplay kicks ass…and of course it will. For more, make sure to check out our inFamous 2 preview .

Well Aaron, I'm gonna be bitching about this until I get an "old Cole" patch so I'm sure we can look forward to much lively debate on the issue. Just don't confuse me with someone who thinks it's a big enough deal to do something stupid like not get the game. But on this issue I must remain crybaby-in-chief.

In the third game Cole will be:

The voice used in inFAMOUS 2 already sounds feminine so that wouldn't be too far fetched.
and with that comment, uncharted 3's bar has been raised a lot higher by naughty dog. when released, uncharted 3 will make xbox 360 graphics look like it was from the nes era! you know naughty dog will definitely up their game.
It doesn't much surprise me that ND is impressed, besides the fact that the graphics looks damn good, Cole is now Nathan Drake's little brother.
Definitely his younger brother and not half as cool.
I started playing Infamous again yesterday and now I don't mind the new Cole. Old cole was boring and lonely when you actually break him down. Just don't make him too overtop.
I liked him, he was a good guy with a sh** life. He had every reason to go rogue, but a solid heart which got him into trouble because he let himself be led around by the few relationships with other human beings that he had. He was a study in the "this isn't where I planned to go in life" character who was given an opportunity to treat everyone the way they had treated him, or take the high road and be a hero even at the expense of himself.
I agree. He's a character that grew on you. The new dude is just annoying from the get-go.

This is BS. I liked the old Cole. Ridiculous. No need to sugar coat this…there was no need to change the character.
Just like the all most everybody else on here I too am not fond of Cole's new look. I can overlook it though if the game is as good or better than the first.
im really worried about this, there just changing so much!
infamous was and still is one of my favorite games this gen, i really dont want to see infamous 2 feel like a different game.
the radical new look i could handle.
the new added cell shading i could handle.
but changing the gameplay, and giving cole new weapons?
sorry, but that just takes away from the game.
the whole story of the first was cole was given electrical powers by the blast.
now some years later he has magically evolved and some how magically grown new ones?

i have had WAY to many of my favorite series screwed up this gen!
RE, DMC, GOW, GTAIV, crackdown, prototype just to name a few.
come on, we have very few open world games as it is the last thing i need is for another to bite the dust!
i had massive expectations for GTAIV, it blew!
i had massive expectations for prototype, it blew!
i had massive expectations for saints row 2, it blew!
i had massive expectations for spider man, they all blew!
i had massive expectations for the godfather 2, it blew!
i had massive expectations for crackdown 2, well have not played it yet but the previews are far less than positive!
why does almost every open world game this gen have to suck donkey balls?
last gen the cream of the crop, the best games of the generation were open world games.
this gen, there the bottom of the barrel!
GTA4 wasn't too bad, and Just Cause 2 is without a doubt brilliant fun.
My only niggle with infamous is travelling. It is the only part of infamous which i hate because cole is so slow and can't go any faster. those static thrusters are slower (good for accurate landing though, so) but if the thrusters had a boost, or if there was a type of quick travel for when you don't want to spend your whole time walking through the streets or jumping over roof tops. Warren can be a b*itch to travel in.

Firstly, no one said they were changing the gameplay, if anything they may add some things but changing the gameplay isn't in the books. I can understand someone being worried about new weapons and such but if the first game is one to go by, the melee combat NEEDS some kind of overhaul, melee was horrible.
Secondly, have you actually seen the trailers? There isn't any cel shading whatsoever in this game, really confused about which video you saw with cel shading

Did Kessler have the exact same powers that Cole did?
According to the future, Coles powers can and will evolve. Scientifically, Magically or otherwise. Only SuckerPunch knows for sure.

you can get around quickly, about half way in the game you gain the ability to grind on train tracks and power lines.
cant get much faster transportation, than being a portable train!
i hope i am worrying about nothing, i really enjoyed infamous as ive said many times one of my all time favorite games!
i just could not stand it being destroyed!
looking good, and as fr his charachter redesign, as long as it fits the plot i'll be happy. in the first one, he'd been called a terrorist and had a bomb blow p in his hand, so it makes sense he why he looks like sh*t.
in this one, whilst i prefer the old cole, he is in a new city for a new start, so it makes sense he should spruce himself up from the grumpy potato look. if sh*t gets real bad for him in this game and his look goes downhill with it, then it will be even more appropriate
why so much hate about the new Cole? Heroes deserve a facelift(!) and let's not forget that hair is longer because, in the first one, he was burnt(!).
However, i really hope they give us the ability to choose between the two characters.
EDIT: We haven't seen gameplay yet, so the old Cole may be the evil Karma character layout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The simple answer is some people don't take changes well.
We've barely seen much of it yet people already have strong opinions about cosmetic changes, even though there seem to be 2 models floating about, cole with hair similar to Drake's hair and Cole with hair more in line to the first game, only its grown out a bit.
Both models are in the video that Ben posted in this article, the second model i mentioned is shown briefly during the scene when he is scrambling from the oncoming helicopter attack. This model is also shown during a lot of the shots thats been released officially so far
lol First everyone was saying he looked like Nathan Hale in InFAMOUS 1 now he looks like Nathan Drake. He isn't that bad and SP doesn't deserve all this bitching. Anyway, InFAMOUS 2 = Day 1 buy.
Hmm, with the new ice power, I hope SP will allow us to travel in the sky using the ice power.
You know…….creating ice path in midair and jump and then create another ice path and so on.
Or at least allow us to travel faster over water!

I can't wait until Friday! Infamous 2 is one of those titles that I would do anything to get my hands on.
I don't mind the new look so long as we still have sasha if we are evil. Also I was thinking that Cole should be able to control other people's nero-electric system and make do anything he wants. Anyways I can't wait to see how it looks.

That footage that they are suppose to show is already up, it looks pretty bad ass too
