Ben-DutkaIf you had planned to go zombie hunting towards the end of the summer, you will now have to delay your grisly trip until early fall.
Initially expected to release on August 31 in North America, it has now been announced that Dead Rising 2 won't make it until the end of September. Capcom now says the highly anticipated horror sequel will hit North America on September 28, Japan on September 30, and Europe on October 1. Although PlayStation 3 owners will get this title for the first time, the Xbox 360 version will still have some exclusive downloadable content in the form of Case Zero . This extra piece of gameplay acts as a bridge between the original game and the sequel and furthermore, 360 owners will be able to download the upcoming live-action film based on the series, "Dead Rising: Zombrex." Well, it would make sense to assume that any existing Dead Rising fans are Xbox 360 owners, although PS3 fans might feel a little slighted come the end of September. Even so, the ability to use just about any random thing as a nasty weapon should sound appealing to a lot of people, right?
This delay might not have anything to do with avoiding competition, unless Capcom was worried about Mafia II at the end of August. This is likely just what it sounds like: a delay for QA purposes.

Not to sound like I like this favoritism because it's sad to see M$ buy their way into even Japanese developers favor. However the first game was a major hit for the 360, and it was never released for PS3 so I can see how it's basically a business move to kind of favor the hand that fed them on this particular series. That said I'm hoping that from now on when new IP's come from companies they start to realize that alienating customers is foolish, start being about pleasing the customers and you'll make your money back.
Judging from a recent article here, this is probably what Capcom really wants:

They won't even see the next gen if they keep their heads in the sand 😉

So much favoritism to a console! Are there any games that have limited time exclusive DLC content for their PS3 version of the game (on their same day multi-console launch)?

I thought this game looked like it would get boring after a very short amount of time. You're walking around a mall wading through endless zombies.
Oh and you can put on womens clothing, ok, why is that fun? I think I'll pass on this one. No crapcom games in my collection this year.
SSF4 is so good. I understand if fighting isn't your genre but if it is it's well worth the price.
not really into fighting games particularly, but there are some very good 3d fighting games and I just don't see the need for a 2d fighter.
Definitely going with Mafia II over this one, if it turns out I have to make a choice between the two for some reason
