Sony Provides Dates For Move-Compatible Titles

The PlayStation Move will be out this September , which means you're going to need to know all about the Move-compatible games.

Sony has released a list of all currently known Move titles; some of which are designed specifically for the new motion-sensing technology, while others will simply feature the extra compatibility. The latter category includes the likes of Heavy Rain: Move Edition , LittleBigPlanet 2 , SOCOM 4 and NBA 2K11 . But perhaps what is most important is the list of games that will be available the month Move hits store shelves, and it's a goodly assortment of potentially innovative experiences; all of the following are set for September 2010:

Remember, first-party Move titles will hold a price tag of $39.99 and as a refresher, you can nab the controller by itself for $49.99 or if you need the entire package (including the PlayStation Eye and Sports Champions ), that'll cost you $99.99. Feel free to peruse the rest of the list through the link above; the likes of The Fight: Lights Out , Sly Collection , SOCOM 4 , Sorcery , Heroes on the Move , and Killzone 3 were all featured at Sony's conference yesterday.

Although I'm not the biggest fan of motion-sensing, admittedly, Move had a great show.

Ben, do you have any idea if the packaged game "Sports Champions" is any good (and any good while using the PS Move, at that too)?

How am I supposed to know?

Based on footage, it certainly looks like a big step up from Wii Sports. I can say that.

just askin 🙂 would there be a future review on that?

It's gonna get hectic once the Move-compatible games roll out, having to evaluate controls based on the DS3 and Move as well :p

I've been wanting to buy Eye Pet. Sadly, the current space availability on where i live now isn't Eye Pet-friendly. But I'm willing to bet that it's Killzone 3 that'll make this sell like hotcakes.

This might be a dumb question, but if Sports Champions is the bundled game shouldn't it come with two Moves? The only videos, previews or demonstrations of the Gladiator Duel or Archery minigames I have seen are being played with two Moves.

p.s.

I don't have an issue with being required to purchase a separate controller to add a second player, but when a second Move seems like such an integral part of the single player experience I don't get it.

According to the move wikipedia page it's possible to us a DS3 for certain move functions, like as a shield, and most likely as the bow part when doing archery.

I know they're not hitting on that point in order to sell more moves, but I think they should point it out, because I think that would help ppl who are worried about buying a bunch of controllers.

That makes sense. It may not be the optimal control scheme, but is probably what they needed to do to keep the entry point under $100. Then after they have you hooked you will want to go out and get another one.

Hmmm,
I'm thinking that since the very first playable 3D game demo is already out on the PS store for MLB10:The Show, that they'll also wind up making a Move patch later for it too.

What do you mean by "the very first playable 3D game demo" of MLB10: The Show? Is there going to be another demo of MLB10: The Show? The first 3D demos came out last week for Super Stardust HD and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift.

For $50, I'll check out Move. I already have the Eye. I'll buy whichever is the best reviewed game as well at the time as well.

Fluffer nutter,

OOPS, I wasn't aware that SSHD & MPR were already out in all their 3D glory yet, and I just happened to see that big "3D" up in the demo section yesterday

OK, let's make MLB10 the 3rd one then, LOL.

I'm super excited for move, some of the games on the list I already have, like pain and high velocity bowling. I am thinking I'll probably pick up street kings as well.

I'm kinda glad I haven't managed to get heavy rain yet because I want to try it with move and see how it works, which I plan to do in october when it is ready.

I may actually get KZ3, as impressive as killzone has always been, shooters aren't my thing, but move makes me interested in trying it.

The game that has been shown so far that I am most interested in tho is sorcery, that is the kind of game I was hoping to get with move, I hope more rpg like titles come out for it pretty quickly, I'd be stoked.

That sports game looks fun enough for a bundle. $40 eye + $50 controller brings that game down to about $10.

Amazon pre-order of $99 bundle, done.

Honestly, I would get Move just to play Sorcery. It just looked so cool, and I would really love a wizarding adventure game.

Potions, anyone? 😉

Wow I was never realy into the Move untill now. I just might have to pick the $100 bundle up now.
I know the Move will be way better then the Wii num chucks the controles suck the pointing at just the right spot and the slowness of it too plus with the horrable graphics it all gets very boring and very anoying.

The PLaystation has this holiday season coverd as well!!!

BTW did anyone else notice in one of the Move trailers that Sony makes a point of showing that they have voice control too where the player tells the game 'Stop' and it does. I mean, I already use voice control in SingStar, and it's been there for a year, and it works for everyone.

So before anyone worries that Kinect has voice and move doesn't – oh yes it does.

One other thing I noticed was that Eyepet is coming to the PSP as well as the PS3. For that to happen, the camera has to come to the PSP too. Something that was hidden among the various demo videos and I didn't hear announced, but it's there. You can take your eyepet wherever you go.

Nice.

Sony's been doing voice command since the first SOCOM (if not earlier).

Just as with Eye Toy, M$ is boasting about being a generation behind the times.

Gotta admit, I thought the presentation for Sorcery was quite cool. IF they can continue to really polish and refine the game, I will strongly consider getting it.

Sorcery and Heroes on the Move

Those are the best games for it
I'm also not the biggest fan of this thing, specially if there aren't a lot of game specifically made with the Move in mind

But hey, we'll see
