Either way, the information is bound to get people talking. According to a European source , the French arm of Amazon has listed three upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusives. Two won't come as any surprise: everyone knows Naughty Dog is working on a third Uncharted , and we heard about Quantic Dream's new game, Horizon , last month. But to have each of them hit Amazon this soon…? It just seems silly. The third title on the list is going to make some PS2 and Team ICO fans very, very happy (provided the details are accurate). It's a high-definition collection of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus , two of the most revered and artistically accomplished games from the PS2 era, which continue to be highly sought-after products. The remembrance of these two gems also fills everyone with a ton of expectation concerning Team ICO's The Last Guardian , which we're hoping will make an appearance during Sony's E3 press conference later today. But if HD remakes of the two aforementioned games are indeed coming, you can bet that it's big news.
We've actually heard this as a rumor before, but to have it be listed on a retailer's website is something new. Cross your fingers!

I've been looking around for a copy of ICO, so I'm psyched this coming out. And imagine Shadow of the Colossus with a locked framerate of 30fps! I mean, though I've never played ICO, I've beat SOC already, but I'll be sure to play them both in HD. News made my day.
I don't see why they can't release them on the PS Store still, The XBOX360 market place has XBOX1 classics on there, why can't the PS Store get PS2 classics too.
Still saying that i am very excited about the Dreamcast re-releases, if we get Shenmue I & II i will be overjoyed.

putting up bigger files from ps2 games would require more storage servers and more bandwidth being used. End result is more cost to Sony. That may be why they are rolling out with subscriptions. to pay for such a thing. Im just glad it wont be mandatory in order to play online like LIVE.
I guess, as i have a backwards compatibility PS3 i sometimes forget that the new ones don't. Though the nice thing about this release is that the two titles are very rare to get on PS2 now. So if it ends up going for around £15 i think i'll get this.

Anyone remembers how long the time span between GOW collection and GOW3 (release) was? I'm not sure, was something like 4-5 months, right?

Oh this is fantastic news, I never got to play either of these games and now they are hard to find, especially ICO. If this is true, I'll be buying day 1, been wanting to play these for some time and getting them in HD, heck yeah!

although i know this is all a part of sony's master plan. backwards compatibility isn't something they can profit from
but with HD remakes for the system, they can
not complaining though, i have back compat w/ my 60GB…and i own shadow of the colossus – but i'll prob buy this anyway…

Yea, I'm in the same situation as you guys. Never owned a PS2 (64 guy ^^) and after having platinum'd GOW collection I'm confident in HD collections.
Hope team ICO took the same approach as Santa monica Studios and handed their code to BluePoint Games, they did an awesome job on GOW Collection.
in just a few minutes Nintendo's conference starts and then Sony's =)
This and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit are my most anticipated games of 2010! even more then Killzone3 🙂

Yes!!! Freakin YES!!! One of the very first things I thought of when I got my PS3 years ago was 'Wow, could you imagine if they remade Shadow of Colossus on this?' Oh I really really hope this is for real.

Patience is a virtue…I'll finally get a chance to play two of the PS2's greatest titles. Remastered versions to make this oh so sweeter. I'd like to give my thanks to a commenter some time back who was willing to send me his copy of SoTC…it is much appreciated but I lacked a machine capable of playing PS2 games…looks like I'll get my chance after all!
I never played ICO nor Shadow of the Colossus, but I might buy the HD version of both.
If this is true, then it's "great news" because I had posted my want for this set in the Sly 2-fer HD thread.
I already have SOTC, but not Ico,(which LV was nice enough to lend out to me), but I still want to get my own copy, plus this dual-game collection disc.
BTW, I usually see from 1 to 3 copies of SOTC at my local GameStops for around $15 to $19, but after watching for a used ICO at GS for the last year, I finally saw one, but some grabbed it up. And GS wanted $40 dollars for it USED.

As soon as ICO and Shadow of the Colossus shows up on the US Amazon site, I'm pre-ordering it.
It's hard to trust the French, but if this is true I'm going to be saving my girl friend in HD. Twice!
ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are two of the most artistic and unique games I ever played.
and The Last Guardian is the single one game I care the most in the upcoming titles.
These three games are the best examples of sheer artistic talent and vision of beauty.

i wish sony would remaster all their ps2 games, i was really shocked when they announced sly cooper collection!
i hope they do a ratchet and clank collection.
that is by far the most desired collection i want.
if i could only play 1 collection for the rest of my life it would be R&C.
