Okay, so one is an exact date and the other is an estimate, but at least we have the information now.
Firstly, we've learned that Fallout: New Vegas , the latest iteration of the acclaimed sandbox role-playing franchise, will release on October 19 in the US and October 22 in Europe. New Vegas takes place in a fictional futuristic world that is very 1950s-like in nature; in that way, the post-apocalyptic atmosphere with the nod to yesteryear sort of reminds us of Bioshock . But anyway, the new Fallout is just what you'd expect; it's Fallout 3 in an entirely new world, with all new characters, creatures, and weapons, and if you missed the E3 debut trailer shown on GameTrailers TV on Friday night, here ya go:
Also, THQ has announced that de Blob 2: The Underground will be headed our way in Spring 2011; it'll debut on high-definition consoles and in 3D for the first time ever. Set to deliver a "fun-filled, creative gameplay experience for all ages," this sequel will boast "new moves, more friends, free-form painting activities," and more, and it's going to focus on Comrade Black and his war on color. It's de Blob to the rescue, as he will paint his way through Prisma City, loaded with an arsenal of new tricks to overcome his enemies. He'll even get the benefit of a new robot sidekick, Pinky, who can blast foes, disable traps, and assist in negotiating the challenging levels. Heck, we'll even get side-quests. Said Danny Bilson, THQ Executive Vice President of Core Games:
"We are thrilled to expand the world of de Blob into high definition and 3D gaming with an entertaining and immersive experience that brings back the adventures of the fun-loving, free-spirited hero. In addition to the release of de Blob 2: The Underground, THQ will extend the reach of its most colorful owned intellectual property with an upcoming Syfy partnership and de Blob-branded consumer products."

This one better be more polished, fallout 3 was great but it became almost unplayable the further you got into it.
more colourful graphics would be nice as well xD
lol that screenshot looks like the same color in different shades of light-dark.
True but look at it, Fallout 3 was very grim but this one seems to have more colour in vegas strip at least. that scene of all the casinos got me kinda excited.
Yeah, the bugs were way out of hand, but that didn't keep me from playing it twice. I am stoked about New Vegas. I am also hoping they polish the hell out of it.

"this sequel will boast "new moves">>>>
OK, I'm not familiar with de blob, so I'm wondering just how many moves an actual blob could even make?
I mean, come on now, there's only 4 moves it could make, Quiver, sag, melt, and then puddle.
Just like a big ole hunk of Lime Jello left behind in the Arizona desert. LOL

Take rising off and save some cash.
really? i thought it might be some good. although that said i wasn't too pumped for it. perhaps the money will got to portal 2 instead
Looks very more playful in some ways as you notice in the vid.
I see there are a couple of factions in the game and I guess we chose who we give our support to.
I know know I'm gonna be ridding high on pooling in my caps in some gambling.
But looks like I may not enjoy New Vegas too long since I'll need too Nuke it.
~SE LA VI~
Oui, c'est la vie.
Im not that excited about New Vegas as I was before. The fact that Bethesda isn't behind it kinda kills it for me.
actually some of the people makin new vegas were people that made fallout 2 (2 not a typo)
I'd like to see how this one does but I'm certainly not too impressed with the trailer. The opening is funny but unless some seriously amazing story is involved to make up in it's lack of color and detail to environment/weapons it may end up being another game to fall just short of my gaming budget.
LOL @ The thumper ! Damn! This one's on my short list of day one buys for sure. Looting and hoarding here I come.
GUYS I KNOW THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING ON THIS ARTICLE – BUT JUST FINISHED WATCHING E3 M$…
FINAL FANTASY VERSUS XIII IS STILL EXCLUSIVE ON THE PLAYSTATION 3!!!!!!! LMAO looks like Square Enix wasn't lying about that one guys!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
And did any of you see the Rising footage? Metal Gear Solid Rising – HOLY SHIT it looks damn good.
But overall M$ has NOTHING…NOTHING ON Sony this year.
Sony officially won – just like that!
Relax with the all caps. lol
Just watched the presentation also. I don't understand why they came to E3, showed nothing special. Sony have already won on MS by coming on stage tomorrow for 1 minute and say nothing.
So they say this blob game is coming to HD consoles, so it's a ps3 exclusive? LOL ps3 is the only true HD console.
I NEED A FIFA 11 BUDDY
forums my friend. forums.
Fallout 3, best open world game of all time. I've got my preorder in for vegas.
I'm waiting and hoping for an Amazon $20 credit. That'd be the ultimate cat's meow.
If New Vegas is more polished than Fallout 3, then I'm interested. Don't get me wrong, FO3 was fantastic, but get rid of the freezes, framerate issues and random texture vanishing, as well as giving me a more straightforward and coherent story that I am compelled to complete. de blob, just no.
Whatever.
Peace.
im really looking forward to fallout new vegas i really enjoyed fallout 3.
if it was not for all the freaking game breaking bugs, well than id say it deserved GOTY.
hopefully this time they put more into the morality system though, more like alpha protocol.
that makes you regret or thank what you did, in fallout 3 i really could not care less.
