Ben-DutkaIf you're looking for something a little lighter, or you've got some kids in the house, Toy Story 3 should prove to be a great option this week.
The new game from Avalanche Software will be released on June 15, and it's great to know that Avalanche worked closely with Pixar so the "Toy Story" universe would truly come to life on our HDTVs. Exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version of the game is Buzz Lightyear's arch-nemesis, Zurg, and the development team says Zurg is their "favorite character:" he's different than the other playable characters; he's the only one who gets the benefit of a cannon, and he moves very differently than anyone else. Oh yeah, he gets his own vehicle, too; the "Zurgmobile." It's just a very cool addition to a game designed to cater to a certain audience, and we're hoping the control is solid and accessible. It really isn't impossible to make a decent game based on a movie – as Shrek: Forever After proves – and we think this one has an excellent chance of being worthwhile. Well, we should learn about that mystery game from a "legendary designer" in about 20 minutes here on Spike's GTTV. We'll have to see what that's all about.

Ben, you're waiting for the announcement from the "legendary designer" while I'm keeping my eyes peeled on the new teaser site by another legend, Kojima himself (or at least KojiPro). Still figuring it out!

i actually cant wait for this i loved toy story as a kid.
i saw shreck today at Imax and wow did that suck donkey balls!!!
what a disappointment they had to destroy what was such a good series dident they?
they just had to milk it once more.
Anyone else play the Toy Story platformer on the PS1?
I think the toybox part of this game could be really interesting, love to see the reviews on this one.
Taking my son to see toy story 3 next week 🙂 thinking of getting the kids the game as well we'll see though
