Brain Tumor Survivor Gets His PS3 Wish

If you're stuck in the January doldrums, check out the following story and warm your heart a bit. Yeah, we at PSXE have a soft spot, so what? Wanna fight about it?

According to the St. Albans Messenger, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has made the dreams of a recovering brain tumor victim a reality. Really, it's what they do best, and this one involves 18-year-old Ryan Kubas and his wish to have a PS3. We can only guess what the family's medical bills must be like to save the young man's life, so of course, it was a luxury the Foundation was more than happy to provide.

When Kubas returned home from a limousine trip to Wendy's (his favorite restaurant…but if he wants a healthy lifestyle, we believe he should choose another; just a thought, Ryan), he found a new LCD TV and a sound system at home. Of course, they saved the best for last: the PS3 was hidden in the car, and brought in last to a chorus of cheers.

Kubas was happy as punch, and his early review of the system is that "it's very realistic, much better than the PlayStation 2," and also- it's "awesome." Nice way to start the recuperation process, yes?
