We know about the semi-confirmed rumor that White Knight Chronicles 2 will also boast the original game with updates and enhancements. But will original WKC content transfer into the sequel itself?
Um, yeah. Just Push Start has assembled a list of everything that will "carry over" and it should make fans of the original very, very happy. First and foremost, your avatar can transferred, along with any and all equipment, items and money you had when you completed the first adventure. Secondly, it will come as a big relief that your Guild Rank will carry over, too; the amount of time and grinding required to up that Rank is…well, it takes a while, right? And if you fell in love with WKC and went and got the coveted Platinum Trophy, this will translate to either a Platinum Crown or Platinum Tiara (depending on your avatar) in WKC2. Click through the previous link to see the entire list of "carry-over" things; your level will transfer, for instance, but everyone who either didn't play the first game or didn't top Lv. 35 will actually start at Lv. 35. Plus, all your skills, Georama parts, items, and level, Guild and Synthesis Ranks, equipment, materials, etc. will also come along with you into the anticipated sequel.
And of course, Level 5 will be adding a bunch of new stuff so how your character is arranged will be reset but even so, this is damn cool.

This is especially nice since some "other" RPG companies seem to have stopped caring about us and are hellbent on pandering to consumers who just don't want their business.
Thanks Level-5. We shall reward you with our wallets. 🙂

hear hear!
The ability to carry over so much from the original is amazing.
I'm hoping the sequel has an expanded, more accessible (less grinding) online component. I'm really looking forward to this.
Yes! This is so worth it now
Would have sucked so much if we had to start everything from scratch
Here's the list on the site
Avatar External Appearance
Carry over name, gender and body form.
Level
Everyone starts from level 35 regardless of avatar.
Skills
Skills have been added and removed, so everything gets reset.
Georama
Your Georama level, Georama parts, scouted people and paid items can be used unchanged.
Guild Rank
Carry over rank only. Guild points become 0. White Knight 2 has a change in how Guild Points are tallied. With each rank, your guild points are reset to 0. In part 1, the guild points were accumulated.
Synthesis Rank
Carry over rank only. The synthesis recipes have been changed, so your recipe creation history is reset.
Gilda (currency)
Thereâs no upper limit
Equipment
Everything carries over, including the equipment that you got via product code that was included with the gameâs EX edition. However, there are some ability adjustments.
Items, Materials, Etc.
Everything carries over, although some items may have ability adjustments. It should be noted that when you move your data over, all items are placed in storage, and if you cross the item count limit for storage, excess items will be destroyed.
Diary
Everything carries over.
System Data
No system data carries over.
Some stuff controdicts other stuff in the list, like it says System Data carries over, but then it says No system data carries over. Make sense or no? lol.
Thanks for that. Looks excellent.
I think it makes more sense if you look at it like this:
Diary: Everything carries over.
System Data: No system data carries over.
this is great news since I was going to pick up this game cause I can't wait for the sequel. now this has just pushed me more to get it.
Uhm. . . I'm still waiting for the first one :-/
can't find it?
I can sell you mine lol
Sounds like the kind of carry-over that .Hack has done, epic, makes me want to buy the first game just to get all that before even starting the second.
Yes! This is how to bring gamers back to the sequel. Level 5 really 'get it' don't they? If Level5 is a public company I really think Sony should at least purchase a large minority share in them. Level 5 needs to be tied in to Sony so that they can get Sony's expert tech support and the cross technology sharing that the first party studios gain access to. In return Sony would gain a top class RPG maker with a good track record.
Agreed!
Holy sweetness! I better get moving on my guild rank and questing. I kind of had to put the game aside after I beat it to make room for more. Scooby dooby doo we got some work to do now.
Platinum Tiara here I come!
It would look better on LV
This is good news. I need to start playing again. Silver trophies here I come.
