We took a break from the general polls last week and asked whether or not you'd be interested in user reviews here at PSXE.
And it seems that over two-thirds of you would at least read them, while a great many would even contribute. Considering our overview of the current community, this doesn't really come as a surprise so thanks to this feedback, we might just give it a try in the near future. Of course, if we do, we'll take into account other suggestions users provided in the Comments; this includes allowing other members to reply to reviews (as they would the staff reviews), a rating system of some kind, and maybe even a qualifying element; i.e., someone has to be a user for one month or the idea that utterly silly and "spam" reviews would simply be removed. It would be a bit of a process to see what works best, but we're looking for ways to expand on your typical PSXE experience. This might also include an ongoing incentive program to contribute to the forums…if you hadn't guessed, our expansions and upgrades will be closely tied to the one thing that matters most to us: our community.
This week, we want some more feedback, but this one is for Arnold's new site, ApPoppa , the Metacritic for portable apps. You seemed interested in the idea back when we first announced it but now, Arnold would like to know which portable apps would get the most attention. Hence, what do you have? What's the operating system for your phone? What do you bring with ya on road trips? Let us know.
Um, I thought OT actually meant "on topic"
not sure, always thought Off Topic??
I would soil myself if my PS3 fell three feet.
Is anyone else stoked for ModNations Racers?
Count me as stoked – and awaiting a demo…
Hey, Ben. I'm wondering if there is a way that user reviews can be set up to have an overall average score posting, then be broken down into each user's score. Kinda like Metacritic, but just for users of PSXE. I respect a lot of this community's views more than most of the sites that get listed on Metacritic.
Either way, I'm looking forward to it.
That's something that probably won't be included when it opens, but we might look to do it in the future.
I run symbian S60 5th Edition.( that should part of the poll)
Coolness, I could write a few user reviews, I might even get some practice in keeping it short and sweet…
I would be honored to right loads of User Reviews, I have posted a few Spoiler Free Impressions on a few games so I cannot wait to write more.
ModNation Racers demo comes out on the 18th of May right? Can't remember.

I believe you are correct. BTW your avatar….can't…see…blinding…red…light……arghhhh!
I love his avatar.
"Come pay with us"
Hilarity ensues.
Nice.
I believe this will help reinforce an already strong community with user reviews.
I would personally love to review/offer second opinions on flight games due to the mass amount of time I spend on each one. I have a Platinum on HAWX, 100% on After Burner Climax, and am currently working on IL-2's Platinum, and will be working on the Heroes over Europe.
IL on the PC was one of my first gaming nightmares. I applaud you for not only being able to play it, but for having a passion for it.
I really dig the options in the game. Still far from perfect, but close as I have seen on the console..
Hurray for user reviews! I think/hope.
As for this week's poll, my HTC HD2 uses the windows mobile OS, since it's my first new phone after the LG Viewty(which I had 2 for years, until a month(2 maybe) or so ago) I don't know how the other OS's feel, I'm just getting used to this one, so currently I'm ok with it, I'll see again in 2 years, when I get my next phone.
As I've said before, I'd probably write a BILLION reviews. I LOVE to write and I LOVE to play video games. Best of both worlds! I wouldn't mind if no one read them, I'd just like to post something somewhere. I'd also definately read some other user's reviews, just to see what others thought about a certain game. You can't always get someone's opinion in just a comment of your reviews Ben.
And, Arnold, my phone is just a phone – LG Sprint Rumor with Cricket service… Awesome. It's sucky, but I stick with the PSP if I'm so desperately craving "fun-on-the-go". Most preferably, I'll stick with the home entertainment.
My phone plugs into the wall and doesn't have an OS. 😛
